Building a party playlist for our annual Halloween bash, and I'm looking for suggestions...

The general theme is black and red, lots of spiders, blood, vampire-esque gothic horror. Think this:

Love it! May I suggest the following albums:

The Cramps -Smell of female, Big beat from Badsville, Fiends of Dope Island, Stay Sick, but honestly, any of their albums will do. Its the original gothabilly.
The Misfits -Famous monsters, project 1950, Walk among us and american psycho would probably be best
Nekromantix -Demons are a girls best friend
Horrorpops - Certain tracks like "where they wander" and "Horror beach"  off the album "Hell yeah!", "walk like a Zombie" off "Bring it on" would be perfect for a Holloween party

The Rockabilly/Psychobilly genre is full of upbeat, "horror" themed music, I listen to it everday of the year! :)

That is pretty much the most comprehensive list of halloween songs I've ever seen. Nice job!

I think that Off the Wall by Michael Jackson sounds spooky. Also, how about Monster by Lady Gaga?

I wanna come to your party!

Warren Zevon-Warewolves of London (though that song is now inextricably linked to that kid rock song)
    Alice Cooper-Welcome to my Nightmare
    Ramones-Pet Sematary
The Cramps-Human Fly (I'm actually partial to the Nouvelle Vague version of this song, though. However, It might be too slow for a party)
    Evanescence-Bring me to life

Yeah Yeah Yeah's - Heads Will Roll (awesome awesome song)
    Ne-Yo - Beautiful Monster
"Science Fiction Double Feature" from The Rocky Horror Picture Show

I know you already have "This is Halloween" on there but the band Panic at the Disco does an AMAZING cover of it that's more Halloween-ish: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tw-J_TCa4ic

And just for laughs: "The Creep" by the Lonely Island!

Great list so far, here are a few suggestions from stuff I've listened to/from glancing at my playlist:

"Tear You Apart" by She Wants Revenge, it might be a bit too sexy but I also love "All Mixed Up" too, it's kind of ... R rated though.

"Atomic" by Blondie; "Eye" by Smashing Pumpkins; most MGMT stuff like "Electric Feel" and also "Flash Delirium" is rather Halloweeny.

I see you have Thriller but also if you can get any other stuff with Vincent Price (the creepy guy doing the spooky voice in the song), like him reading spooky stories, that would be good. He did a lot of recordings of himself reading ghost stories. Friends and I played a few of them last Halloween. Also any clips from Psycho or the original Dawn of the Dead could add to any vintage creepyness. I also like the soundtrack to the 60s James Bond movies like the theme song to Goldfinger for retro Halloweeny stuff

Oh another creepy one is Portishead, I like "Glory Box" or a more obscure one called "Seven Months" that is really quite intense and scary/sexy.

"The Ghost Inside" by Broken Bells

    "Hotel California" by The Eagles

Some Nine Inch Nails could work like "The Hand That Feeds", "Head Like a Hole", or "Closer".

"Phantom Limb" by The Shins; "Die By The Drop" by The Dead Weather; "Spotlight" by Mute Math (aka the song from Twilight); "6 Underground" by Sneaker Pimps and some Garbage "I Would Die For You" (aka the coolest song in my middle school class) for some 90s retro
