Hello! New to NYE!!!

Hey all - I'm new to the forum... thought I'd introduce myself!

Age:22

Significant Other's Age:24

What You Do: nurse

What SO Does: military

State of Relationship: happily living together

How Long You've Been Together:officially almost a year and a half - but we go back to high school

Fur Babies: a dog, age 2. And we're adding a cat soon!

Favorite Color: I have a lot of favorites... but I sway to pink and purple most

Favorite Thing About Your SO: his smile and laugh.. and how he always tries to make me laugh with him.  he's my favorite person!

Least Favorite Thing About Your SO: only thing that really sticks out to me at the moment... the way he folds laundry, LOL. not neatly at all

Hobbies/Activities: I am a total arts-and-crafts kinda gal. I crochet and cross stich.. I make cards... scrapbooking.  I'm terrible at sewing, but I try. I also LOVE cooking and baking - right now I'm totally obsessed with cupcakes! activities - I love walks. And I'm planning on getting back into biking. And shopping - can't forget about that one!

Describe Your Personality: Honestly, I'm a home-body. I'm pretty easy going. I love to travel and visit new places! I can be more introverted, but I love a good time and laughs with close friends. I have been told by my patients that I'm "very kind and passionate at helping others."

Tell Us Something Interesting About Yourself: Something interesting... I know it may not be the MOST interesting, but - I was a gymnast for almost 10 years! I wanted to be a cheer leader in high school, but quit all of that to join the marching band! best class through out high school!

    Hi! Welcome to the boards :) If you haven't already please read the sticky at the top of the board that says "Please Read Before Posting" its a good way to get a general feel for the board if you haven't lurked too much :)

    Soooo...how do you feel about Harry Potter? Potatoes? Mac & Cheese? Also please post a pic of your furbaby! We are suckers for cute animals :)

    I will admit - I have been lurking for awhile!!!

    And to answer questions:

    1) I like the Harry Potter movies... I never could stick to reading the books. I saw the latest movie this weekend!

    2) I like potatoes sometimes. Mainly as fries. I've always been more partial to  pasta.

    3) Who couldn't like mac and cheese? it's one of my favorite comfort foods!!!!

    4) the first thing I mastered in the kitchen was the chocolate chip cookie. I LOVE COOKIES!!! It's another comfort food of mine.

    5) I'll have to get some pics of the furbaby to put up on here. She's pretty cute : )

    Oh good! I love it when girls have lurked!! I suppose it's ok that you haven't read the HP books as long as you like the movies :)

    My brother really only like potatoes as french fries too. I think he is weird because I love potatoes!!

    I love that you love to bake and cook, I do too!  What's your "specialty item" to cook?

    I also love that you prefer pasta to mashed potatoes, I do too! ;)

    Let's see - a lot of responses...

    Well, my favorite vacation was to Charleston, SC. It was so much fun and so pretty - I could really just move there.

    I do watch tv when I do get a chance - mainly Food Network (esp cupcake wars) I usually catch up on my fave shows on netflix or Hulu. I really like Bones, Desperate Housewives. i've also been following Master Chef lately

    If i were to paint my kitchen I would stay with earth tone neutrals - just becuase I love to redecorate, so I like to keep things versatile. Right now I have a tan color. I add more color with accessories and artwork

    I also love to read! I just finished The Help - I couldn't put it down! I've also discovered Phillipa Gregory's series and I like that as well

    My favorite thing to cook is pasta dishes - my lasagne or cheesy ziti
    I've never tried gnocchi, but I'd be willing to try! I love perogies

    I'm very much into wine as well - especially a nice pinot grigio or chardonnay

    And sushi - is not my thing. Sorry. I'm actually not a big fan of sea food.

    DON'T DO IT!! They look like slugs. BF is a fan though so maybe they're good.

    Hey ladies - I've been working a lot these past few days. Picture of the furbaby still coming when I can get to my computer at home! Also... I'm no longer in gymnastics. I wish I was though.... Good times! And favorite cookie? That's a tough one. My go-to is chocolate chip, then I would choose peanut butter.
