So the position that FI interviewed for this morning is an Independent Contractor position. I understand what it means to be an independent contractor tax-wise, but I don't understand why this position is one. He would be getting an hourly wage and receive projects through the employer. The thing that concerns me is I feel like they call it an I.C. position so they don't have the long term commitment, but from what FI tells me, it sounded like a long term position.
Does anyone have I.C. experience? I worked as one freshman year of college, but it was just a 10 hr/week job that I knew was temporary. I know that you have to pay taxes instead of getting them taken out of your check.
