I'm a caffeine addict, but I generally get it through Diet Coke.  I drink coffee maybe once every month or so.  I'm just not crazy about the taste.

Cupcake, point taken. Will have to seriously take that into consideration.

Alanna, and Elle, thanks for your input as well!

Hi, my name is Bella and I am addicted to coffee. I started drinking coffee when I was eight years old. Yup. Eight. Decaf until I was about 12, then I got on the hard stuff.

I think if you can and want to, start drinking half-caf. It's just decaf coffee mixed with regular coffee. If you've got a Keurig machine, they sell Half-Caf pods.

I only drink about 2 cups a day. It was more when I was working. Now that I'm home all day, I have to drink it or I would sleep until 2pm every day and then take a nap at 5.

Wow, bella, you started early. :) Thanks for the suggestion on the half-caf. I'll keep that in mind!

I'm with the "coffee is yucky" crowd, and that's simply because I dislike the taste. American coffee is too bitter for me. There are two kinds I will drink: Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk or Costa Rican cafe con leche (it's half of a milder coffee than we have here and half milk).

I do like a warm beverage in the morning, though. Right now I'm on a chai latte kick (Starbucks was getting expensive, but Target sells the same Tazo chai mix). Other times I go on a peppermint hot chocolate kick. I've also learned to make a pretty good facsimile of the Starbucks kind at home.

Also, about caffeine...Excedrin has way more caffeine than a can of soda. A can of Coke is 34mg. Excedrin has 65mg per pill (so most people take 130mg). Then I looked up coffee...wow! A Starbucks tall (12oz) regular drip coffee has 240mg of caffeine!

I guess I'll stick with my Coke for caffeine!

Leia, we have a caffeine chart at school and I was shocked by how much caffeine coffee has in it compared to energy drinks even.

Leia--whoa! I thought I was jittery this morning...I'm sure with actual coffee, I'd be nuts! Of course, I'd start off with about half of it being milk... :) Agreed on the peppermint hot chocolate, yum.

This is kind of related...except completely opposite:

My University's bookstore now sells "iChill". Instead of waking you up, they put you to sleep. If you drink half a bottle you get a little relaxed, a whole bottle is "ultimate relaxation".

So of course as soon as we see them, a bunch of people from work and I buy some and down the whole bottle (despite me having six hours left on my shift).
    It was miserable.

If you ever need to fall asleep instead of wake up, that's what you'll need!!
