    1) What are your Thanksgiving plans?
BF and I are just having dinner by ourselves at home. Although I'm making enough food to feed about 10 people. . . hooray for leftovers!

    2) What is your favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving dinner?
Mashed potatoes!!!  What a ridiculous question :-P

    3) Are you shopping on Black Friday? Where, what are you hoping to find?
    Oh hell no.

    4) What winter holiday(s) do you celebrate (Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.)?
Christmas, New Years. . . Valentine's Day? My birthday!

    5) What are your favorite holiday traditions?
Christmas breakfast with my Mom and siblings. Christmas dinner and presents at my Grandparents house with all our cousins.

    6) Do you decorate for the holidays? How?
Yes!  Last year we got a tree (live, pretty big) but this year I think we might get a small (think table top sized) fake one and decorate that, and then just put up lights around the house. It was a lot of work and expensive to get a real tree into a small apartment last year.

    7) Favorite holiday movie?
    Love Actually . . .
And Elf -- we watched it yesterday for the first time this season!

    8) Favorite holiday song?
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen -- the version by Barenaked Ladies and Sarah McLaughlin (if you haven't heard it, you should check it out!)

    9) Favorite holiday food?
My dad makes a cookie called the meatball cookie. . . I'm not sure what exactly is in it, but it is sooo good! Chocolatey, spicey, nutty goodness.

    10) Do you have a white Christmas where you are (ie. snow or no snow)?
    Usually snow

    11) Gift you're most excited about giving this year?
    I'll get back to you

    12) Gift you're most hoping to get this year?
A digital SLR camera. . . but that is a big purchase. . . so really nothing in particular.

    13) How/with whom do you spend your holidays?
Usually at home with my family. This year it will be with BFs family! I'm really looking forward to it. . . Colorado mountains in December? Yes please!

    14) How are you spending your New Years Eve?
Probably with some college friends back home.  We're pretty low key.

    1) What are your Thanksgiving plans?
This year, Thanksgiving is with my family...instead of trying to fly up north, we all decided to meet in the middle...we're all meeting up in Charleston SC for a long weekend. FI and I are detouring through Savannah on the way home for a romantic afternoon.

    2) What is your favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving dinner?
    Pumpkin pie or cheesecake.

    3) Are you shopping on Black Friday? Where, what are you hoping to find?
Hell to the no. We'll probably be around little shops downtown that day, but I'm avoiding malls/shopping centers like the plague. Working 7am-2am five Black Fridays in a row essentially swore me against Black Fridays.

    4) What winter holiday(s) do you celebrate (Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.)?
Christmas. Except when rickylee brings by latkas. Mmmmmm latkas. :D

    5) What are your favorite holiday traditions?
    - Decorating the house/tree. We put on comfy pjs, order in Chinese, and put on Christmas movies. It's probably my favorite part of the holidays.

    - There's a Christmas amusement park down here that's, well, kinda ghettofabulous. We always get a bunch of friends together, dress up in the cheesiest holiday stuff we can find, and go spend an evening riding rides and checking out the lights.

    - We usually host a Christmas dinner party with our local friends, with a nice sit down dinner and Gag Gift Secret Santa exchange after. With the wedding coming up, I don't think we're doing it this year... :(

    6) Do you decorate for the holidays? How?
Oh, I go all out - lights on the outside of the house, a big fat tree, lots of decorations inside. Our whole house is blue and silver for Christmas - I inherited a lot of my Grandma's Christmas decorations when she passed, so I don't know if I'll ever change our colors now...

One awesome thing - we have a marine biologist Christmas tree. Not even joking. Our entire tree is fish ornaments. It's kind of epic.

    7) Favorite holiday movie?
Charlie Brown Christmas, Love Actually, The Holiday

    8) Favorite holiday song?
    Otis Redding - White Christmas
Nat King Cole - Christmas Song
    Bing Crosby - White Christmas
Vince Guaraldi - Christmastime is Here

    9) Favorite holiday food?
    Pumpkin cheesecake, Christmas cookies

    10) Do you have a white Christmas where you are (ie. snow or no snow)?
Not anymore. No snow in SoFL. However, seeing as we either spend actual Christmas with my (Ohio) or FI's (Colorado) families, we usually get snow.

    11) Gift you're most excited about giving this year?
I got FI a chess board that has shot glasses instead of pawns. I anticipate lots of drunken chess in my future.

    12) Gift you're most hoping to get this year?
I honestly don't know what to expect this year, as both my bridal showers are right around Christmastime. I'm just hoping we get kitchen stuff off our registries (as our current stuff is falling apart) and the hanging rack for our pots and pans.

    13) How/with whom do you spend your holidays?
We alternate Thanksgiving and Christmas between FI and my families. This year is FI's family - spending a few days in Colorado/Nebraska with his family, having my first bridal shower in Colorado.

    14) How are you spending your New Years Eve?
We'll be back in SoFL for a few days before New Years, so I'm hoping I'm able to crank out a lot of lab work during the break. Will probably go downtown with friends, or have a couple friends over to our place for a party of sorts.

    1) What are your Thanksgiving plans?
BF's Dad, my grandparents (the cool ones, not the crazy grandmother), and a few of BF's friends from law school are coming over.  I'm cooking up quite the feast!

    2) What is your favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving dinner?

    Pumpkin pie.

    3) Are you shopping on Black Friday? Where, what are you hoping to find?
Never, ever, no way.  I'm making most of my gifts this year, except for BF's family cuz I'm not sure they'd appreciate my art like my family, who is totally biased in believing I've got skill.

    4) What winter holiday(s) do you celebrate (Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.)?
    Christmas!  And my birthday.

    5) What are your favorite holiday traditions?
I could totally give up Christmas Day, not even a question.  Christmas Eve is what it's about - my Mom cooks up an appetizer feast, and we have family and friends come by, the fireplace is lit, music is playing, it's a great time.

    6) Do you decorate for the holidays? How?
We're going to buy a Christmas tree this year!  We've got colored lights, and stockings (mine says, "Naughty" on one side and "Nice" on the other - BF's says, "Dear Santa, I've been good this year" and on the other side, "Dear Santa, I can explain...").  We also have a candle that smells like evergreen - BF will light it all the time, not just the holidays!

    7) Favorite holiday movie?
    The Christmas Story

    8) Favorite holiday song?
"The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)"

    9) Favorite holiday food?
For Thanksgiving, anything pumpkin.  For Christmas, anything peppermint.

    10) Do you have a white Christmas where you are (ie. snow or no snow)?
Heck no, and there probably won't be when we visit my parents as they're near the water (it's pretty rare), but almost definitely on Christmas Day when we head up to visit BF's family.

    11) Gift you're most excited about giving this year?
Paintings (that I have yet to paint) to my parents and brother.  They fight over my paintings, so they'll love that I made one for them specially.

    12) Gift you're most hoping to get this year?
I really don't have anything on the list - in general, I'd like a food processor and a juicer, in that order.

    13) How/with whom do you spend your holidays?
BF and I will visit my parents for Christmas Eve, drive up to visit his family on Christmas Day, stay with them for 3 days, then drive back and spend through New Years with my family.

    14) How are you spending your New Years Eve?
Probably low key - we'll be with my parents, who want to go to First Night in Boston, but we really don't like being cold.  We'll probably play board games, have a great meal, and hang out by the fireplace until midnight.  It sounds perfect to me!

    1) What are your Thanksgiving plans?
Going home to be with my parents and grandparents!

    2) What is your favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving dinner?
It used to be sweet potatoes smothered in brown sugar and marshmallows and butter. Now that my tastes have, um, grown up...I enjoy pretty much everything.

    3) Are you shopping on Black Friday? Where, what are you hoping to find?
I wish but I can't find anyone to go with me. I'd like to do it just once.

    4) What winter holiday(s) do you celebrate (Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.)?
    Christmas!

    5) What are your favorite holiday traditions?
Baking Christmas cookies with my mom is an absolute all-time favorite. Candlelight Christmas Eve service at church is another one.

    6) Do you decorate for the holidays? How?
I live in a tiny apt so I just have a tiny tree. I also have lots of window clings that I like.

    7) Favorite holiday movie?
    Oooo Elf!!!

    8) Favorite holiday song?
I'm kinda partial to the Little Drummer Boy.

    9) Favorite holiday food?
We have people over for Christmas Eve and everything we cook that night are my favorites. Cranberry bars, all manner of cookies, hot appetizers. Mint chocolate fudge. I guess I'd say sweets in general are my fave. Especially anything mint / pumpkin.

    10) Do you have a white Christmas where you are (ie. snow or no snow)?
I can't remember the last time we had a white Christmas. Usually it doesn't blizzard until like Feb / March.

    11) Gift you're most excited about giving this year?
I guess I need to do some shopping..oops.

    12) Gift you're most hoping to get this year?
Don't really need or want anything that badly.

    13) How/with whom do you spend your holidays?
Usually with my parents and grandparents. Sometimes we have a second Thanksgiving at my extended family.

    14) How are you spending your New Years Eve?
I'll be in Phuket, Thailand with BF. OMG I can't freaking wait.

Oh heck yea!  I really wanted to ask #1 so I'm excited :)

    1) What are your Thanksgiving plans? Going to West Virginia to spend Thanksgiving with the boyfriend's extended family

    2) What is your favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving dinner? Stuffing, hands down.

    3) Are you shopping on Black Friday? Where, what are you hoping to find? We'll be in the middle of nowhere, so no.

    4) What winter holiday(s) do you celebrate (Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.)? Christmas, but I had a Jewish 2nd grade teacher than made me fall in love with potato latkes, so I make those too :)

    5) What are your favorite holiday traditions?  Just being around the family.  We also play really funny music while we open our presents - like Clay Aiken and Mariah Carey.  yes, CLAY AIKEN, girls.  My dad is psycho

    6) Do you decorate for the holidays? How? Not particularly, but we do hang up our homemade stockings (I'm crafty, obviously) and I have a 12" Christmas tree ;)  We travel home for the holidays, so we're not actually here for the big day.

    7) Favorite holiday movie? Elf.  The Grinch (Jim Carrey version).  RENT (hey, Christmas is in there).  I like singing, and yes, I watched Elf last night.

    8) Favorite holiday song? Baby, it's cold outside.  Blue Christmas.  The March of the Toy Soldiers.  Um, all of them.

    9) Favorite holiday food? We always make ham and cabbage for me, haha.  But I also love the chicken and stuffing and taters and turnips (my fam is weird) and green beans and whatever else we have.  I also really like chicken with gravy AND cranberry sauce.

    10) Do you have a white Christmas where you are (ie. snow or no snow)? Not usually (in NJ or VA, it tends to snow later).  We'll be in FL for Christmas though, so we're hoping highs of like...70.

    11) Gift you're most excited about giving this year?  Um, I haven't bought any yet.  I will do my best.  Any IDEAS?!  I have....a mom, a dad, two sisters (mid-twenties), a brother, and a boyfriend to buy for.  I'm doomed.

    12) Gift you're most hoping to get this year? Well I haven't been helpful there either, but I KNOW I'm getting some money to Vicky's (from mommy Santa) and I need that like whoa.

    13) How/with whom do you spend your holidays? I spend most of the day with my family.  BF comes over to exchange gifts around noon or one.  Then I visit with his family.  We go back to have dinner with my family early and then have dinner with his family a bit later (or just dessert, but usually we eat dinner too.)

    14) How are you spending your New Years Eve? I have no idea.  We were stood up last year (actually we couldn't find the house) so we watched the Key West high heeled show drop with my parents, haha.  Classy.
I guess, to tell you the truth, I've never had much of a desire to grow facial hair. I think I've managed to play quarterback just fine without a mustache. - Peyton

I got into holiday mood yesterday when we bought Christmas tree ornaments. Pretty sure I was driving BF batty - he's not a Christmas lover like I am, and doesn't get into the holiday spirit until closer to the day.

    1) What are your Thanksgiving plans?
Thanksgiving has already passed for me. So, I'll be at work while you Americans are all celebrating.

    2) What is your favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving dinner?
Turkey!! Mmm!!! My Mom makes an impressive feast.

    3) Are you shopping on Black Friday? Where, what are you hoping to find?
No. See answer to #1 - I'll be working :( We need to start x-mas shopping though, and might take a trip into the big city sometime in the next few weeks to get the bulk of it done.

    4) What winter holiday(s) do you celebrate (Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.)?
    Christmas.

    5) What are your favorite holiday traditions?
All of them! Haha. Really. I love the holidays. When I was a kid, the best part was that my parents would put our 'Santa' stockings on the end of our beds, and when we woke up, my sisters and I were allowed to open our stockings together before we woke our parents.

    6) Do you decorate for the holidays? How?
This is my first year having my own place to decorate. My plans are to have a tree (check, just not assembled yet), lights in the windows (almost check, need to pick them up from my parent's house tonight, a wreath or 2 on some doors (not check, need to hit up the craft store for those), a table centre piece which my Mom and I are making at a course in a few weeks, and I want to make a glass-vase-and-Christmas-ball arrangement for the living room (also not check, need to go to the dollar store). My Mom always decorates to the nines, so it comes naturally to me haha.

    7) Favorite holiday movie?
I don't have one. Really. I actually am not keen on holiday movies.

    8) Favorite holiday song?
All of them! At first. By Christmas I am entirely sick of Christmas carols. They are SO overplayed.

    9) Favorite holiday food?
The desert squares. My sister, Mom, and Grandpa bake a ton, and it's amazing (I'm not so good with the whole baking thing)!

    10) Do you have a white Christmas where you are (ie. snow or no snow)?
It's usually more like brown...the snow looks nasty by Christmas because of all the sand on the roads.

    11) Gift you're most excited about giving this year?
I dunno. The only person I have fun ideas for is BF so far. I'm really trying to do something really amazing for my parents, and unfortunately, I just haven't thought of anything yet.

    12) Gift you're most hoping to get this year?
    Electric blanket (from my Mom).

    13) How/with whom do you spend your holidays?
Good question. It's kind of a mess, TBH. Christmas Eve is easy - BF and I will spend the day together (and I'm thinking celebrate our own little Christmas then), then go to my parents for dinner and church then to his grandparents for Christmas with his Dad's side. Christmas day, though, both mothers want us, and I don't know how to make it work without really hurting someone's feelings. I'm thinking we'll do Christmas with BF's Mom the weekend before (which is usually how it works because usually she's on vacation at Christmas), then on our way to my parents in the morning Christmas day we'll pop in to say hi. We'll stay at my parents Christmas night, then see his Mom again boxing day on the way home (but we'll stay longer that day, and maybe spend the night).

    14) How are you spending your New Years Eve?
Not sure yet. Traditionally, we've had friends over to BF's Mom's house along with his brother and wife (they also have friends over), and we all celebrate together. I enjoy doing that, but I don't know if it will happen this year.

So, yeah, I'm in the holiday mood...

    1) What are your Thanksgiving plans?

    Pumpkin pie!

    3) Are you shopping on Black Friday? Where, what are you hoping to find?
No.  Even if I wasn't going to be chained to the kitchen baking cookies all day I would not go shopping.  I value my limbs in tact, not being attacked by some lady because I grabbed the pair of shoes she wanted.

    4) What winter holiday(s) do you celebrate (Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.)?
    I celebrate Christmas.

    5) What are your favorite holiday traditions?
The cookie baking extravaganza and decorating the Christmas tree.

    Grinch and A Christmas Story

    8) Favorite holiday song?
    Silent Night

    9) Favorite holiday food?
Anything with minty deliciousness or pumpkin pie.

    10) Do you have a white Christmas where you are (ie. snow or no snow)?
Yes, generally there's lots of white.  We're pretty late getting snow this year but it's supposed to hit Thursday and Friday.  Boo.

    11) Gift you're most excited about giving this year?
Me, BF, brother and brother's GF are getting my mom the miter saw she wants.

    12) Gift you're most hoping to get this year?
    Xbox Kinect

    13) How/with whom do you spend your holidays?
BF and I spend Christmas Eve/Christmas morning with my family, around noon my aunt and cousins come over.  For Christmas dinner we go to his parents house and celebrate with them.

    14) How are you spending your New Years Eve?
    I have no idea!

I was hoping to get some paintings done as well - BF even picked up a window from a job site a few weeks ago for me to use for something for my parents. We started brainstorming and kind of nautical theme, but I'm not liking the odds of getting it done.

I want to get BF some clothes, because that is what he said he wants this year. I want to get him a TV because that's what he really wants, but his mom is totally against that idea.

    1) What are your Thanksgiving plans?

Working because I don't get your holiday...boo. I've already had 4 Thanksgivings - 3 Canadian and 1 early American one.

    2) What is your favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving dinner?

    Stuffing

    3) Are you shopping on Black Friday? Where, what are you hoping to find?

Also, don't have Black Friday in Canada. Potentially online shopping if something is amazing.

    4) What winter holiday(s) do you celebrate (Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.)?

    Christmas

    5) What are your favorite holiday traditions?

Family time. In terms of gifts, Christmas stockings, they are the only real surprise on Christmas morning anymore.

    6) Do you decorate for the holidays? How?

Haven't decided yet with the new house. We don't have an outdoor outlet at the front of the house, so no lights until we get that done.  So, it'll be a Christmas tree and stockings. The tree is a gingerbread/bronze/copper theme but BF thinks it is too monochromatic/designer, so we are introducing more colour into it this year.

    7) Favorite holiday movie?

Love Actually, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer

    8) Favorite holiday song?

There are too many to have a favourite

    9) Favorite holiday food?

    Christmas cookies

    10) Do you have a white Christmas where you are (ie. snow or no snow)?

    Yes, but not always

    11) Gift you're most excited about giving this year?

The Columbia Bodum for my friend's Christmas/housewarming gift

    12) Gift you're most hoping to get this year?

I'm hoping for a Northface parka or a lululemon hoodie

    13) How/with whom do you spend your holidays?

Since we just got back from CA, it'll be with my family.

    14) How are you spending your New Years Eve?

Wow, I haven't even thought that far ahead.

    1) What are your Thanksgiving plans?
Every year my family goes over to my parent's best friends' house - they and their kids are an extension of our own family.  We usually spend a large portion of the day there, eating, watching a movie and just visiting.  FI works graveyard Wed and Thur night (yay for holiday double-pay!), so he is planning to wake up and come over for dinner only then go back home to sleep some more.

    2) What is your favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving dinner?
Mashed potatoes and my mom's pumpkin chiffon pie

    3) Are you shopping on Black Friday? Where, what are you hoping to find?
If I do go anywhere, it'll just be to one of the craft stores for wedding supplies

    4) What winter holiday(s) do you celebrate (Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.)?
    Christmas

    5) What are your favorite holiday traditions?
When I was growing up, my parents allowed us to open one present on Christmas Eve, then all the others on Christmas Day.  A new tradition my parent's and I have started (since my brother and his son moved out of state) is to have my mom's potato soup in bread bowls for dinner.  We always call my grandmas and now my brother on speaker phone so we can all talk at once.  This year, since FI works Fri grave & Sat grave (another day of double-pay!), we're planning to head to my parents at 8am for breakfast and a leisurely morning of visiting - FI will just leave me there to spend the rest of the day with my parents and he'll head home to go to sleep.

    6) Do you decorate for the holidays? How?
Most years I take 2-3 days to decorate (I collect Nativities - have over 100 of them), but this year, FI moves in 2 weeks before Christmas and there just won't be room or time to decorate that much, so I'm just planning to set a few of them out and the 1-foot tree my parents sent to me my Freshman year in college (my townhouse is small, no room for a "big" tree).  Last year when I set the tree up, I asked FI if he wanted to help me decorate it - he put 2 ornaments on and said he'd do more later - it turned into him putting a couple ornaments on the tree every time he came over.  So we decided to make that our own tradition and I found a cute little holiday tin to keep all the ornaments in, next to the tree, and we're planning to just put one ornament at a time on the tree...I'm going to make a "special" ornament that he doesn't know about to be put on the tree the day he moves in.

    7) Favorite holiday movie?
Miracle on 34th Street and White Christmas

    8) Favorite holiday song?
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen and Mary Did You Know

    9) Favorite holiday food?
Sausage Balls...they're bisquick, sausage and cheese - a tradition on Christmas morning in my house.  I also love the dark chocolate covered cherries

    10) Do you have a white Christmas where you are (ie. snow or no snow)?
    no snow

    11) Gift you're most excited about giving this year?
The paper dolls I made for our niece and the cards I'm making for my grandma (she lives in assisted living and is always saying she doesn't have a card when someone's birthday or such comes along, so I'm making 5 generic birthday cards and also 5 blank "note" cards she can use for other occasions)

    12) Gift you're most hoping to get this year?
A job, money to pay bills, etc...I was asked for a couple "fun" ideas 'cause my BFF and my brother don't want to get us "necessities" so I mentioned a bedazzler and some embossing/rubbing plates for card-making

    13) How/with whom do you spend your holidays?
I've always spent them with my parents and now FI.  We've only travelled once during Christmas and I vowed never to do it again (and thankfully FI agrees with me)

    14) How are you spending your New Years Eve?
Another work/holiday pay night for FI - since he'll be at work at midnight, we've decided to celebrate New Year's on Florida time (we'll call his sister at 9pm our time), then he'll leave for work and I can go to bed early.

My aunts then FIL's to show off their new grand-furbaby!!

    2) What is your favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving dinner?.
    Stuffing, mashed taters, pies.

    3) Are you shopping on Black Friday? Where, what are you hoping to find?
I'm ophing to find my parents a bluray player with wi-fi but other than that, I just want to finish shopping.

    4) What winter holiday(s) do you celebrate (Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.)?
    Christmas.

    5) What are your favorite holiday traditions?
Probably going to my aunts house on Christmas Eve and our always fun gift exchange.

    6) Do you decorate for the holidays? How?
When I have a house I will. My mom got aggravated with putting up a tree every year so now she puts up the nice table top tree and the box of ornaments underneath the table. Some years the ornaments make it on the tree, some years they stay in the box.

    7) Favorite holiday movie?
    Elf and the original Rudolph

    I don't think I have a favorite

    9) Favorite holiday food?
    EVERYTHING!!!

    10) Do you have a white Christmas where you are (ie. snow or no snow)?
Some years we do but I don't think we did last year. ::shakes fist::

    11) Gift you're most excited about giving this year?
    The gift of song.
Actually, I haven't bought anything yet except a hoodie for FI.

    12) Gift you're most hoping to get this year?
a job offer for this position I'm interviewing for next week...EEK!

    13) How/with whom do you spend your holidays?
    Family, FI, FI's family

    14) How are you spending your New Years Eve?
We will probably stay at FIL's and I'll be too pissy and tired to care about staying up until 12 because FI and his dad will spend hours talking about tires or car stereos or something.

    1) What are your Thanksgiving plans?

Thanksgiving Day with DH's extended family- I'm making Pumpkin Cheesecake Bites. Friday I'm working my seasonal job until noon, then coming home to put up the Christmas tree and cook our own turkey-less Thanksgiving dinner. We have a friend visiting for part of the week, too... so we'll do some things with him. And, a few volunteers are coming over to my place to start putting together our holiday pet stockings.

    2) What is your favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving dinner?

Sweet potatoes with marshmallows! Particularly the ones my Nana makes... I'm working on my own recipe, but I always melt the marshmallows. Undecided I also LOVE my mom's pumpkin pie.

    3) Are you shopping on Black Friday? Where, what are you hoping to find?

Nope, but I will be working!

    4) What winter holiday(s) do you celebrate (Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.)?

We celebrate Christmas! It's my favorite time of year. I LOVE Christmas.

    5) What are your favorite holiday traditions?

DH and I are still building our own traditions. One of my favorites is we each choose a new ornament to buy every year- just one unique ornament for each of us... they don't even have to match the rest of our decorations. And if you know me and how picky I am about things matching, you know what an unusual tradition that is for me! lol

    6) Do you decorate for the holidays? How?

Yes! I don't have many decorations of my own... but we have a 6-foot artificial tree, and we put multicolored lights and silver tinsel on it... and tons and tons of bright-colored ornaments. I have an old gold star for the top, but I really need a new one. That's pretty much all we do, for the time being. Sometimes I put window-clings in our front window... but I don't have a wreath for the door yet. Frown

    7) Favorite holiday movie?

Ohhhh, only one?! Miracle on 34th Street... or any of those classic claymation-types. The Santa Clause is pretty good, too.... See? I can't choose!

    8) Favorite holiday song?

Again, I say! Only one? I've been singing O Holy Night a lot... and I'll be Home For Christmas chokes me up these days (since I can't be "home" with my family), but I LOVE any by, say, Frank Sinatra, the Rat Pack, Elvis Presley, Michael Buble, Christina Aguilera (yeah, I know... but she rocks those Christmas classics), even Josh Groban. Absolutely ANY of the classics... artists that were around in my grandparents' hey day.... those are my faves and they never get old.

    9) Favorite holiday food?

Pumpkin Pie... and also we're considering vegetarian Shepherd's Pie as a main-holiday-dish substitute... and that would pretty much rock, too.

    10) Do you have a white Christmas where you are (ie. snow or no snow)?

No snow in Louisiana. But I grew up with a few white Christmases in West Virginia.

    11) Gift you're most excited about giving this year?

I dunno yet. I love giving gifts... so I get pretty jazzed no matter what lol.

    12) Gift you're most hoping to get this year?

I hope I get some TOMS. Or some salad plates.... I'm weird.

    13) How/with whom do you spend your holidays?

With DH and his family, for the time being. In the future (when we have money to travel) we want to alternate holidays between our families.

    14) How are you spending your New Years Eve?

Not sure yet. Maybe like last year... at home on the couch with DH and a bottle of champagne.

I started responding to this as soon as you posted it this morning, then I got interrupted to get the Thanksgiving Lunch set up and my oh my was it good!  I'm so sleepy now...

    1) What are your Thanksgiving plans?
We are going to Southern LA to visit with FIL and that crazy bunch.

    2) What is your favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving dinner?
Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, and Brown 'n Serve rolls

    3) Are you shopping on Black Friday? Where, what are you hoping to find?
No way jose!  #1 I hate to shop on "normal days".  #2 I don't feel like getting trampled and killed at Wal-Mart.  #3 Cyber Monday!

    4) What winter holiday(s) do you celebrate (Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.)?
The usual - Christmas and of courst St Nick's Night!  Gotta have the stocks up by December 5th!

    5) What are your favorite holiday traditions?
Getting brand new PJ's to wear the night of Christmas Eve and Christmas morning.  Monkey Bread for breakfast.  Cutting down a Christmas tree.  Baking cookies and decorating!  Ohhh I can't wait!  Oh, and of course my most favorite tradition - Charlie Brown Christmas!

    6) Do you decorate for the holidays? How?
Yes!!  I have very anal about my decorating, as in everything has to match a certain color scheme.  Oh, and absolutely NO mutli-colored lights, they have to be the clear or blue ones PERIOD.

I haven't done ANY shopping at all.

I have no idea.  If we're still in Missouri, we'll be doing something with his sister I'm sure...

    1) What are your Thanksgiving plans?
Going to my mom's for lunch then to my dad's for dinner.

    2) What is your favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving dinner?
Mashed potatoes, stuffing and pumpkin pie.

    3) Are you shopping on Black Friday? Where, what are you hoping to find?
IDK yet. We'll see. I have a very low patience level.

    4) What winter holiday(s) do you celebrate (Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.)?
    Christmas

    5) What are your favorite holiday traditions?
Hmm.... I don't know if I currently have any. We used to go out to my grandma's every year for christmas - go to the Christmas Eve church service and then to an aunt/uncles house each day. Now that my grandma has passed that doesn't happen anymore.

    6) Do you decorate for the holidays? How?
I have contemplated it. I am more motivated to put the stuff up than to take it down.

    7) Favorite holiday movie?
    I don't think I have one.

    8) Favorite holiday song?
Silent Night and Blue Christmas by Elvis.

    9) Favorite holiday food?
Sweets. My aunt makes homemade caramels. Yum!

    10) Do you have a white Christmas where you are (ie. snow or no snow)?
Yes. Well in theory, I think there has been once or twice when there wasn't and it is quite strange when that happens.

    11) Gift you're most excited about giving this year?
Seeing as though I haven't purchased them yet - IDK.

    12) Gift you're most hoping to get this year?
    Furry boots. (uggs)

    13) How/with whom do you spend your holidays?
DH. Then throughout the days - my mom, his parents/grandparents, my dad

    14) How are you spending your New Years Eve?
Don't know yet, but sure hope its fun and exciting. Last year we did nothing. The past couple years before that were relatively lame too.

    1) What are your Thanksgiving plans?
Going to my mom's for "lunch" and then FI's for dinner most likely. We should stop by my Dad's but it likely won't happen.

    2) What is your favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving dinner?
Cranberries and sweet potatos with carmel and marshmallows. My mom kicks ass at those.

    3) Are you shopping on Black Friday? Where, what are you hoping to find?
We actually are going out this Black Friday - 3AM to be at Kohls just because we want to see what's available. We are actually online right now looking through the ad's and making our strategic plan. We aren't totally sure what we're looking for. LOL.

    4) What winter holiday(s) do you celebrate (Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.)?
    Christmas is the only one.

    5) What are your favorite holiday traditions?
Being at my mom's at 8AM Christmas morning and having mimosa's with a huge breakfast then sitting around and opening presents for the next hour. It's just a nice family moment. I also love putting up all Christmas things on Thanksgiving Day/

    6) Do you decorate for the holidays? How?
I usually have my tree up but have never done much outside. This year we're doing our tree and the entire inside of the house in holiday decor. We might do lights outside but who knows.

    7) Favorite holiday movie?
A Christmas Story - it never gets old. I also love A Christmas Carol it brings back a ton of memories.

    8) Favorite holiday song?
Carol of the Bells hands down only the choir version, however, not the manufactured radio versions. I will also say Luther Vandross - Every Year, Every Christmas. And I will comp to the fact that I love NSYNC's Home For Christmas album. I have listened to it every year for the last 12 years. (Wow I just got so freaked out).

    9) Favorite holiday food?:

Not sure I have one. I eat anything, anytime.
