Cool Ceremony Idea - Cord of Three Strands

Was not feeling the unity sand thing and I am having a garden ceremony this friday! So I googled (I live in Google) and found the Cord of Three Strands wedding kit. I absolutely loved it and ordered it right away. They delivered in like 4 days I think. Our premarital counseling was centered on this theme (Bible verse: a cord of three strands is not easily broken). I also had the verse on front bottom of my invitations so it was a Godsend.
Anyone ever used it? Our Rev. loves the idea! Will let you know how it goes after we get back from our honeymoon!

    My old boss did it at her wedding in March. They tied it into the whole theme of their wedding from actually tying the cord at the alter to the favors of bookmarks with the verse on them with a "cord of three strands" attached. It was really neat and I had never heard of it prior(tying the cords at the alter, I've heard the Bible verse).

    I coordinated a wedding at church where the couple chose to do the Cord of Three Strands during the ceremony instead of the unity candle.  It was really cool.  If anyone else plans on doing this, make sure you have the pastor explain what the couple is doing before they step away to braid the cord.  It helps clue everyone in quickly.
