Depending on how long you hair is, try getting a few feathers sewn in. I know it sounds weird, but a few of my girlfriends have had it done and it really adds a sleek wow factor. Most of them have chin length hair or longer, and the feathers are really slim, but with fun color and texture. They totally lighten up a face, and when your sick of it - easy, cut them out!

I agree.... go to a professional. I had a friend in college who tried to dye her hair red (it was brown) and it turned hot pink. Then when she tried to bleach it to blond it all fell out and her hair was 1/2 inch long. This is all because she used herbal infusions box crap that she bought at walgreen. She had to wear a bandana for 2 months while it grew out.

Personally, I love auburn streaks in dark hair.

To get your hair to grow, take pre natal vitamins every day for at least 3 months. :)

I would definitely stay with warm tones, like honey or caramel, and don't go anywhere near platinum or bright blondes.  The color families just don't work well with olive tones.  As an Italian and Spanish girl, I made the mistake of bright blonde highlights as a teen and will NEVER go back there again.  Auburn (red and brown) highlights might even look good with your complexion.  Just avoid cool tones.
