Not Engaged Yet

What are your hobbies?

I need one.  Bad.  Only work 1/2 time and getting really bored.  I LOVE to read and have been able to check out a lot of good books, but sadly my library is rather limited and I am currently waiting on some books from interlibrary loan.  I have netflix and get tv shows and movies, not to mention spending (too much) time on theknot-haha.  I know I should go to the gym, but that'll be about 30 minutes a day for me...
thanks ladies and happy friday

I just signed up for a watercolor painting class that starts in May. Maybe check out your local community center for activities?

I watch way too much tv and netflix. Right now I am in love with United States of Tara, Parenthood, and American Idol. I just finished season 4 of Big Love. I'll stop myself there...

LOOOVE USoT and Parenthood.  I've given up on AI and I should check into Big Love.  I've watched all of Dexter, my ABSOLUTE fave, True Blood and have the latest season of Californication. Not that I am helping the whole too much TV thing..lol.
I think we will be getting the latest pamphlet from our local rec center this weekend, I'll look at it.  THANKS

I take tap dance at a dance school that caters to teens and adults. Our big show is tomorrow night, and we have an awesome Star Wars tap routine.

I'm not even making that up.

:) I've been told I gotta check out Dexter, I LOVED Six Feet Under... I'm new to AI, randomly got into it after 9 years of ignoring it. I was enjoying GLEE but it has gotten kind of meh. And Big Love is weird. Just when you think you understand the characters you find yourself saying "THERE IS JUST NO WAY I COULD SHARE HIM!"

    Happy hunting.

Let's see... free time? What is that? Undecided

When I'm not doing schoolwork or sitting at work browsing the interwebs... I am volunteering or playing video games. Both fill in plenty of time!

I play World of Warcraft, have yet to finish Fable 3, need to re-install the Sims 3 on my upgraded computer... and so on. Pretty light gaming, nothing serious.

Volunteering takes up an hour or so on Wednesdays (DH and I go out to dinner before we volunteer together, it's sweet), and a few hours on the weekends. I enjoy it a lot. It's kind of changed my life a bit.

I'd love to get a Kindle or Nook or something and take up reading, but that will have to wait a bit. I just don't have much time during the school year. Maybe this summer I'll get one!

I'm a crafting crazy person - I cross stitch, quilt, make miniature quilts.  I attempt to make my own clothes, but that's kinda a disaster because I stink at my sewing machine.

I get so excited when other people get preggo because then I can start a new project.  That's probably pretty weird, but it's true.

I also read a ton and tutor little children (well K - adults, but mostly kids) in math.

I make jewelry (hence the s/n - Beads). I also used to dapple in photography and photo editing, but I had to give it up when I started university. BF is into it now, and I hope to get back into it in a more serious way once I graduate. I like sewing too, but again, that's been on the back-burner since going to university since I don't have my own sewing machine yet. And to round out my craftiness, I like to paint.

I also volunteer at the local Big Brothers Big Sisters agency, going into schools and working with the students on various things.

I'd love to take a cake decorating class sometime. And take up yoga outside of my living room.

If you like to read, do you think you'd like to write? I really enjoy that because I love the idea of creating my own stories just for fun.

My sister took cake decorating and had so much fun with it!

And I like going to the gym- yoga classes are my faveeeee.

I love volunteering through my church too. Does that count?

Right now my days are taken up by work, being President of a women's networking organization, training for triathlons, and being editor of the3six5.com.

Back when I had free time, I really enjoyed crocheting. I could do it while also watching tv, or listening to music, and made some really cool scarves and baby blankets for friends and family. I'm going to attempt another baby blanket for my godchild who is due in June.

This. I go to school full time and have two part-time jobs. Anyways, I like to write. I also like to read, sing, play my flute, paint, etc. I used to volunteer.

I'm looking forward to the summertime. I'll be back down to one job for a few months, and there will be no wedding planning/prep. I miss hobbies.

As for my hobbies, I love scuba diving, yoga, dance, photography, blogging, cooking/baking, gardening. I tend to go for more creativity-based activities, versus physicality-based. I'm hoping to take some cooking classes sometime over the summer with rickylee, and I'm going to be training for a half marathon over the next year.

I looked forward to having free time so much when I was in school and now that I have so much I'm always at a loss of what to do with my day...

I know cleaning isn't a hobby, but I try to tidy up daily and keep on top of the dishes. I makes me happy in that our house isn't cluttered. I read A LOT. I also spend way too much time on a site called 43things. For awhile I was dong a fun "goal" to watch a movie for every letter of the alphabet. Other hobbies: Learning German, writing, playing Sims Medieval.

Outdoor hobbies are snowboarding (seasons over though. Boo) and geocaching which you can really do all year round.

Hobbies?  Does procrastination count?  Because really, that's all I do when I'm not doing homework or trying to figure out how to best help the freshmen with their studying for lab practicals.  And by procrastinate, I mean I roam TK and watch Disney Channel.

I think I'm going to start going back to the gym.  I was doing that, until it got cold and rainy and I got sick.  Ugh.

Bren- I am liking it a lot! I especially like how you switch back and forth between characters. I don't get bored with a Sim as quickly now.

If not working on the weekends (c. tail waitress) or in school..
I love cleaning (like REALLY love), sign language, and horse back riding. Although I haven't been riding in a very long time but I really enjoy it. I also love to tan.

Me too! I feel like it adds more to the gameplay as a community rather than one isolated Sim character. I also like the little quests to keep it more exciting. I do miss some of the customization though- but I just don't feel like bothering in this game.
