Halloween!!!

I'm getting really excited!  Anyone doing any Halloween parties this weekend?  What are your costumes?

I hate couples costumes, but we ended up with one this year - all our friends are doing characters from Mario Kart Wii, and BF will be Luigi and I'm going to be Mario.

I'm going to put together something like this:

And every year I make costumes for my little cousins - this year they wanted to get store bought costumes, and it broke my heart.  But I found this, and if I have twins someday like everyone in my family keeps predicting, I'm going to dress them up like this:

I have a Halloween party on the 30th! I don't have a costume yet though aha. I'm contemplating being uncreative and just being Cleopatra. BF is either going to be Batman on a budget or Goose from Top Gun.

Cate that costume is so cute I love mario and Luigi, I wonder what yoshi will look like? LoL!  Anyways I had two friends (husband and wife) last year dress as mario and luigi at a costume party I attended.  They were so cute too and it worked out great for her cause she was pregnant and the overalls were roomy.

Lyn -- I've been wanting to tell you all day that when I watched Hawaii 5-0 last night I thought of you because the female cop on the show looks like what I imagine you look like from your tiny picture (sorry if I'm so very off on your ethnicity -- I'm not trying to be a jerk).  She kicks a lot of butts and looks good doing it!

cschiano-LoL!  Its ok I watch Hawaii 5-0 when I get a chance and take it as a compliment that you might imagine me to look like Kono (Grace Park).  She's hot and can kick butt to boot.  On the show she's a surfer and pretty much a tom boy but that's as far as the similarities go.  As you get to know me, you'll see it takes A LOT to offend me when it comes to ethnicity.  BTW Grace Park is korean and I'm Vietnamese.  Its ok I have friends who have difficulty telling one ethnicity from another when it comes to asians.

Back on the topic, FI (wow still getting used to saying that) is going as the Green Arrow (he grew a beard, which I detest, but he promised to shave after holloween)

and I'm being more ocean oriented and making myself an octopus costume.  Hahaha...

I'm going as Kesha -- I'm wearing black tights, a mini skirt, ripped Metallica t-shirt, boots or stripper heels, random jewelry, big nasty hair and carrying around an empty bottle of jack with a toothbrush. BF has no ideas and I'm not helping him b/c he rejected my couple costume suggestions a few weeks ago. :-P

I'm not going to be dressing up this year, but SO is dressing up as the Mad Hatter from the Alice in Wonderland remake and daughter is going to be a bumble bee. She's been asking to wear her costume everyday since she tried it on this past weekend. She looks super adorbs in it, but I am pretty biased.
    I'm not good at feelings.

The halloween part we are going to is on the 30th. We still have  a lot of work to do on our costumes. For those of you that don't know, this is what we are going as...

I like dressing up for halloween I just dont like all the store bought costumes that come in a bag, they are so expensive.

I've decided to be a cheetah this year, kinda corny but oh well. I can be creative and make the ears and tail. And put on some crazy make-up! I'm excited!

calindi- I like your idea. My best friend and her BF are going to be mario and princess peach!

Halloween is my favorite! I hate couples costumes though. My roommate forced her bf to do it with her and they just look dumb. They're going as like Romans or something? Idk. Weird.

But I'm going as a bumblebee. It's hawt. haha My bf hasn't decided what he's doing yet, but it's likely to be half-assed like always. One year he went as Ghostrider and all he did was wrap a chain on his arm and wear his regular clothes. lol

    WIN.

As I've stated before, I'm going as Rachel from "Glee." If BF isn't being lame that day, he is throwing on a football jersey and going as Finn.

Bah... I'd never be Princess Peach!  She loses all the Mario Kart Wii games - she's so slow and bad at sharp corners.  If anything, Daisy is better (like Peach, but in orange).  Or Toadette, which would be a cool costume.  When we play, I'm usually Daisy as she's the fastest one.

I like making my own costumes, too.  Store bought ones are made of cheap material, don't fit well (I mean, S/M/L/XL aren't exactly tailor made, folks), and are unflattering.  Unless you're going to drop down north of $100, the store bought ones are kind of crappy.
