I got Midland (a.k.a. no accent)

That's interesting. It didn't include the words I say different like Milk. I say it Melk. BF teases me about me all the time :P But I guess it isn't really an accent thing just a me thing.

I got Northeast, and they were right!
I'm from Jersey, I go to school in Upstate NY and plan on moving to Boston, so I'm pretty positive I'm going to have the worst combinations of accents imaginable by the time I'm 25, haha.

I got midland as well, which sounds about right for me. Nobody thinks I have an accent, except some of my really southern friends who think I sound northern just because I don't have a twang. When I met Jester a couple weeks ago, her mom asked me if I had grown up up north.

I think it is off. Mine said north central and I frequently get confused with a Canadian. I have a bit of a southern twang. Not a big one, but that is the way it is headed compared to others. I definitely don't talk like a Canadian.

BF's dad is from Jeresy. When he moved out to Utah go school and get a degree in water science his professor told him he had to go home and practice saying water instead of wooder.

Every once in awhile his accent still slips in.

    Northeast!

I grew up right outside of Philadephia and moved to TX when I was 11. So this isn't very surprising. :)

I didn't even know I said it wierd until BF pointed it out. I swear other people say it that way! It sounds unnatural to say it with the 'i" sound.

I got midland/no accent, but I don't believe. People ask me quite a bit if I am from the south, even though I spent my whole life in Nevada. My mom's family is from the back woods of Missouri, so I think she sort of developed the same dialect as them, and I got the same thing from her. Apparently, this "accent" comes out stronger when I talk to her or my brother. Sometimes people even tell me I pronounce certain words like a hillbilly Cry

BF pronounces it "melk," too! He was raised in Nebraska from a baby to age 13. He never realized he was saying it differently, and everyone he knew said "melk" as well. He suspects it's a midwest thing.

I grew up in Idaho and I don't have any family from the midwest. I don't know where it came from but ever since I moved to Colorado people pick up on it a lot.

I got the midland, which is kind of accurate but not really. I'm from Northeast Ohio. I don't know about a good voice for radio. Maybe the face for it though! Hah.

I got the south, which is strange. Not because I live in the South, but because anyone who has ever commented on my "accent" has pinned me as from the northeast, or more commonly, as a California valley girl. Yup, I get that a lot. Technically, I'm a midwestern Girl. So I don't really think I have any accent, though I can sound a bit ditzy, but certainly not super southern.

I got North Central and the thing says I have a Minnesota accent. I do live in Minnesota. Odd since I never thought I had any type of accent.

I got Philly...considering I grew up in a Philly suburb, that sounds about right.  Though my dad's side of the family is from West Virginia, so some of the words I say come out a little southern just because of my upbringing.  The quiz didn't hit any of those though.

    I got North Central.

"North Central" is what professional linguists call the Minnesota accent. If you saw "Fargo" you probably didn't think the characters sounded very out of the ordinary. Outsiders probably mistake you for a Canadian a lot.

I guess that makes sense since I am a Canadian afterall. :)

It says I have an accent from the west. I definitely have an accent, but I think it's a little less crazy than a Boston one. FI says I have a 'Rhode Island' accent, which doesn't help explaining much. :p  I don't pronounce my r's, so I'll say 'haht' for heart and 'cah' for car.

    I say 'melk', too.

I got Boston - shocker! I totally have a Boston accent, although much less so than many of my friends and BF. His is really bad.

When I went to college in RI, there were a lot of people from MA, NY and CT there. My two best friends had major CT accents (hawt instead of hot, naht instead of not, teeerrible- etc) and I apparently adapted it a bit. Enough that it freaked my mom out when I came home and she told me to knock it off. One of my friends had a wicked (hello Boston!) Long Island accent  - "My brother Pwaulie went to the mwaul and bought a bwaul." It was pretty funny.

Northeastern, but I'm a little concerned that I scored better for Philly than NY.  Oh well.  I've lived all over.  I pronounce words funny.  Especially "drawer" (like "draw") and bagel (apparently)
I guess, to tell you the truth, I've never had much of a desire to grow facial hair. I think I've managed to play quarterback just fine without a mustache. - Peyton

I got Midland - which I guess is as accurate as anything.
I grew up in Philly for 10 years, spent another 13 in Florida, and am at 2.5 years in Michigan. So, I talk like..well...me lol

When I get worked up, upset, or angry or emotional - my Philly comes out - LOUD and CLEAR...it's got a bit of Jersey in there too as I have spent much time there too.

Midland.  Which is funny, because I spent several years in the south.  But the fam is from California, and I lived in Germany - maybe that's what killed my accent.  I do get a bit of a southern twang at times though.  Not much, just a hint.

I got North Central! It's funny because five or six times a week I get made fun of for pronouncing something with a Boston accent. It's just that pronouncing those words "correctly" just sounds so forced and fake to me!
