How old are you?  15?  Because you're acting like it.  You aren't planning a wedding, you're planning a pretty princess day.

Adults plan weddings AFTER they're engaged.  CHILDREN plan PPDs.

I'm thinking that her SN is a reference to her bday, which makes the OP 34 or 35. Which is quite scarier than if she were 19.

OP, you're an idiot. Plain and simple.

    Holy guacamole....

Do you really think 3.5 years is that long? You are right, no one has commitment issues after 3.5 years.

Clearly we aren't going to stop you...

I never understand the point of these posts.  What are we supposed to say?  Most of the engaged and married ladies on this board waited until they were engaged to start planning.  I didn't call vendors or buy anything wedding related until after the proposal.  What is so hard about that?

By the way, there are plenty of married people who never had an engagement ring.  You definitely don't need a ring to be engaged.

It really doesn't sound like you're waiting. Therefore, the waiting can't be killing you. I believe the lack of bling is killing you. Waiting would not include purchasing a dress. If FI found out I had started booking stuff before he proposed, there would be no wedding! Crazy, that's what this is!!
