what does $$ mean?

i was looking up venues and this site must have a key to what price range the dollar signs mean. i saw one that said "$$". anyone know what that is code for?

So after scrolling boards all nite I still havent found the one that breaks down venues however im still on the job LOL.

They are actually different depending on location. $$ in Dallas is different than $$ in NYC.

the symbols are pretty useless without a key..... how am i supposed to know what to look for?

Has anyone come up with values for the different dollar signs?  It is very difficult to even begin to look for a venue when you are trying hard to remain on a tight budget...hello...who wouldn't want to go to the $$$$ hotel/resort?

PLEASE, is there anyway to have them broken down for the ARIZONA sites?  Thank you so much.
