    1) What's your plans for the weekend?
Celebrating 2 year anniversary with BF on Saturday :)

    2) Does your company have a holiday party?  If you're still in school, do any of your classes?
Yes, we do. I'm on the planning committee - ugh.  Getting a bunch of scientists to have a cool party isn't easy.

    3) Do you plan on hosting/attending any holiday parties this December?
Attending far too many . . . not to sound like the Grinch, but it is just hard to fit them all in.

    4) What's the best thing that happened this week?
My boss didn't come to work Monday. . . it has been a slow week for good stuff. Tomorrow should be good!

    5) Qualities that are most important in a vacation destination?
    Seclusion, relaxation, mountain air.

    6) Who are your favorite travel companions?  What is important in a travel companion?
BF! Easy-going and fun - able to deal with me when I start to freak out if things don't go according to plan.

    7) Would you vacation with your immediate family?  Would this be ideal, okay, or a nightmare?
We used to vacation together every summer. It was really fun, but also could get really stressful and arguments tended to break out between cousins etc.

Nope.  There's only 2 of us who work here soooo nope.

    3) Do you plan on hosting/attending any holiday parties this December?
Yep.  Some family ones.  I might go to one on Saturday at a friends.

    4) What's the best thing that happened this week?
I almost finished Christmas shopping for FBD

    5) Qualities that are most important in a vacation destination?
Heat.  Places to swim.  Relaxing atmosphere.  Entertainment.  BOOZE.

    6) Who are your favorite travel companions?  What is important in a travel companion?
FBD is a great companion.  My mom is good as well.  My BEE Ryan is another.  They need to be open to exploration (I don't always stick to the map), funny, like good music, entertaining, thoughtful and able to hold their booze.

    7) Would you vacation with your immediate family?  Would this be ideal, okay, or a nightmare?Already did.  When we went to Cuba it was mom, dad, sis, bro, myself, fbd, my aunt and bro's bff.  It was AWESOME.  I would do it again in a heartbeat.  They rock

    1) What's your plans for the weekend?
Heading down to Delaware this afternoon with BF to celebrate his best friend's 21st birthday (he is in school there). Party weekend!

    2) Does your company have a holiday party?  If you're still in school, do any of your classes?
I am currently unemployed. Some of my professors may bring in donuts for the last day, maybe.

    3) Do you plan on hosting/attending any holiday parties this December?

I always have a Christmas/New Years' get-together with my best girlfriends.

    4) What's the best thing that happened this week?
I got back a few assignments and got As. That was awesome.

    5) Qualities that are most important in a vacation destination?
    History and culture.

    6) Who are your favorite travel companions?  What is important in a travel companion?
BF, of course. If I travel with someone, they need to be organized, responsible and agreeable. A good sense of direction helps too.

    7) Would you vacation with your immediate family?  Would this be ideal, okay, or a nightmare?
I would travel with my immediate family, definitely.

    1) What's your plans for the weekend?
Finally seeing Harry Potter with a girlfriend, Celebrating 4 years of togetherness with BF and probably getting our x-mas tree. (I know it's early, but we're going out of town this year so we want to get full use out of it!)

    2) Does your company have a holiday party?  If you're still in school, do any of your classes?
Yes, my company does. We're going to the Bronco's football stadium this year for dinner and tours.

    3) Do you plan on hosting/attending any holiday parties this December?
YES! I do every year! We always have an Ugly Sweater party with a white elephant exchange for friends.

    4) What's the best thing that happened this week?
Sleep! After surgeries and travel...BF and I finally had a QUIET week!

    5) Qualities that are most important in a vacation destination?
Somewhere I haven't been before. I could travel the whole world over and not be done - so why go anywhere twice?

    6) Who are your favorite travel companions?  What is important in a travel companion?
BF and my mom are my faves. A travel buddy has to be game for anything. I don't want to just lay around my hotel room.

    7) Would you vacation with your immediate family?  Would this be ideal, okay, or a nightmare?
YES! Just got back from FL with my mom's ENTIRE family and had a blast. Ideal!

    No.
    4) What's the best thing that happened this week? BF has called me after one in the morning two nights in a row telling how much he loves me. I love my early morning calls.

In the spirit of Friday, here are some questions.  In the spirit of my lack of attention, there is no rhyme, rhythm, or theme to these questions.

    1) What's your plans for the weekend?
Spending some time with my father *gasp*, working out and packing for vacation. <----- I could not be more excited! All kinds of fun, here.

    2) Does your company have a holiday party?  If you're still in school, do any of your classes? - Being that I am unemployed no company holiday party and Grad School ended at the beginning of November for our holiday break so nothing there either. Boo.

    3) Do you plan on hosting/attending any holiday parties this December? - We may have a Christmas party but that is up in the air. We have Oysterama on the 20th with my MOH's family (yearly event with deep fried oysters!). We've got family stuff too and of course my birthday!

    4) What's the best thing that happened this week?
-Hmmm.... found out some potentially good news that I am waiting to tell because I want it to come to fruition first. Oh, I saved a bunch of money on our car insurace, too. Seriously, highlight of the week. lol.

    5) Qualities that are most important in a vacation destination?
-A fun environment with lots of things to explore and do but also sports a relaxation element, as well. I like to be on the go and seeing new things!

    6) Who are your favorite travel companions?  What is important in a travel companion?
    - Definitely FI - we're good vacationers. I also love any trip I get to take with my girlfriends. Vegas was a blast. But my Mom wins out - we go on vacation every year together and it's always a good time.

    7) Would you vacation with your immediate family?  Would this be ideal, okay, or a nightmare?
    - LIke I said I vacay with my Mom every year sometimes twice a year and it's always fun. I vacationed with FI's immediate family, as well, that was..... okay.

    1) What's your plans for the weekend?
Tonight - dinner/secret Santa/white elephant exchange with my school friends
Tomorrow - maybe farmers market, party ice skating (YAY!)
Sunday - relaxing day with DH

    2) Does your company have a holiday party?  If you're still in school, do any of your classes?
We have a department holiday party every year once only professors and grad students are left.  We do pot luck, lots of drinks and the faculty band plays Christmas carols

    3) Do you plan on hosting/attending any holiday parties this December?
Well - two this weekend, and then Oceana's party if she has it.  Also since we aren't going to family for Christmas, we are having a couple of our friends over for Christmas Eve for snacks, drinks, and games.

    4) What's the best thing that happened this week?
    The start of Hanukkah!

    5) Qualities that are most important in a vacation destination?
There has to be things to do.  I am not a sit around and relax kind of person.  When I'm on vacation I like to constantly be doing something.

    6) Who are your favorite travel companions?  What is important in a travel companion?
Aside from DH, Oceana and her FI are my favorite traveling companions.  We just have an overall good time. No one is pushy and we are able to mesh really well, staying together as well as whatever it is we plan on doing.

For me its important that who ever I travel with has the same overall objective of the trip.  For example, I don't like to travel with people who spend money on something and then do not make the most of it.  ie. show up late to an event.  If its just them spending money, then that's their prerogative, but if I'm spending the money, I want to make the most out of what I spent.

    7) Would you vacation with your immediate family?  Would this be ideal, okay, or a nightmare?
I love traveling with my family and DH's family, never had any issues with it at all.

    1) What's your plans for the weekend?
Picking up my little sister (no relation, I just call her that) from college in upstate NY, then tomorrow I'm taking her to get her first tattoo! Then, that night, we're going out to NYC to watch my brother perform stand-up comedy.

    2) Does your company have a holiday party?  If you're still in school, do any of your classes?
    Unemployed =/

    3) Do you plan on hosting/attending any holiday parties this December?

FI's aunt always hosts an after-Christmas get-together, and then there's a pre-Christmas party we attend, as well as a New Year's party. The good newws is, we now live across the street from our friend who's holding the New Year's party, so we don't have to worry about staying sober. We can walk home!

    4) What's the best thing that happened this week?

I got My Chemical Romance tickets as a Hanukkah gift!!!!!

    5) Qualities that are most important in a vacation destination?

How many children are present? The less the better. Also, beach and/or indoor pool is ideal. I love being near the water. A good spa is desired, not required.

    6) Who are your favorite travel companions?  What is important in a travel companion?
FI and my BFF. We get along really well, we like all of the same movies and most of the same music. In my BFF's case, we read a lot of the same books. It's important that you never run out of things to do or say.

    7) Would you vacation with your immediate family?  Would this be ideal, okay, or a nightmare?

Okay, I have done this. It is a nightmare. Most recently, my mom, brother and I went last year on an all-out Disney vacation with my aunt and three cousins. It was okay at first but we slowly wore on each other's nerves and we fought a few times and I ended up in tears more than once. I do not reccommend it.

    1) What's your plans for the weekend?

Well, I am solo this weekend. So, plans include walking the dog, taking a zumba class, starting to paint the office/ spare bedroom and if I get super ambitious a couple Christmas cookie recipes.

    2) Does your company have a holiday party?  If you're still in school, do any of your classes?

Tricky question. My coworkers do acknowledge the holidays but work doesn't pay anything. Can't be seen partying on tax payer dollars.

    3) Do you plan on hosting/attending any holiday parties this December?

Likely.  There is one for BFs work for sure, but nothing from friends yet.  I'm hoping to host an open house during the day some weekend though.

    4) What's the best thing that happened this week?

I think I got all of my Christmas gifts figured out.

    5) Qualities that are most important in a vacation destination?

Hmmm, they are different depending on what your objective is.

    6) Who are your favorite travel companions?  What is important in a travel companion?

I rarely travel with the same people under the same circumstances, so I don't really have a favourite. I do like it when my travel buddy encourages me to do things that I'm hesitant to do.

    7) Would you vacation with your immediate family?  Would this be ideal, okay, or a nightmare?

I went to Spain with my sister for 2.5 weeks and we didn't kill eachother. I think travelling together in the future will be better because we got reaquainted with eachother. We haven't lived in the same house for about a decade.

    1) What's your plans for the weekend?
Beach tomorrow for a friend's birthday, then Christmas cookie baking party with some other girls whose BF/FI are law students with my BF, so while the men are all off being library trolls, we'll have a few spiked egg nogs and make some yummy delights!  You better believe I've saved that cookie recipe thread.

    2) Does your company have a holiday party?  If you're still in school, do any of your classes?

Not this year, but I heard they do usually.  This year, they're celebrating our most successful year of events ever (in terms of everything - revenue, attendance, etc.) by taking the entire company on a beach day to a swanky hotel on South Beach.  Food and drink is going on the company's tab - it'll be AWESOME!

    3) Do you plan on hosting/attending any holiday parties this December?

Haven't decided on hosting, will probably attend 1-2 but haven't been invited to any yet.

    4) What's the best thing that happened this week?

I got a fantastic haircut and highlights last night - for only $50!  That's unheard of here - haircuts alone usually start at $60-70, and highlights are easily over $100.

    5) Qualities that are most important in a vacation destination?
Good food, places to explore, ideally speaking another language or a completely different culture.  Preferably, safe roads so we can rent a car to really explore off the beaten track.

    6) Who are your favorite travel companions?  What is important in a travel companion?
BF, then my brother, then my parents.  I need someone who is open to trying new things, doesn't stress when things don't go as planned, is able to go with the flow, respectful of other cultures, curious and interested in the world around them.  Oh, and someone who loves to eat!

    7) Would you vacation with your immediate family?  Would this be ideal, okay, or a nightmare?
We're in the process of planning a family trip - my parents wanted to take me and my brother (and our significant others) on a trip this summer.  After doing some pricing and research, I suggested that we rent a beach house in Costa Rica.  They agreed! I rarely go some place twice, but this will be my 3rd time to Costa Rica!  I am SOOOOO freaking excited!  These are all my ideal people to travel with - this is honestly an absolute dream vacation!

    1) What's your plans for the weekend?
Going to the School of Music Christmas Concert tonight, then watching App move on to the next round of the playoffs on Saturday. My Sunday is going to be a catch-up day.

    2) Does your company have a holiday party?  If you're still in school, do any of your classes?
My School of Music has a big Holiday Reception with a Jazz Combo playing and endless amounts of food for all the students after the Holiday concert. (Plus a 16ft + ft Christmas Tree) We are like a big dysfunctional family so its alot of fun to see all of us come together.

    3) Do you plan on hosting/attending any holiday parties this December?
I am not hosting anything but I am going to a cookie party with my mom, I love cookies so I'm excited.

    4) What's the best thing that happened this week?
I went to see Scott Pilgrim vs the World for a dollar. Ask me again next week and Ill have a list a mile long.

    5) Qualities that are most important in a vacation destination?
Safe area around the hotel that I am staying in. Other than that the potential for fun, but for me that could mean anything.

    6) Who are your favorite travel companions?  What is important in a travel companion?
My mom can be a blast, but I always have an amazing time with my BF. In a travel companion you would need to be able to roll with the punches, deal with my random ideas on what to do, and be sort of daring.

    7) Would you vacation with your immediate family?  Would this be ideal, okay, or a nightmare?
    Yes, it would be okay.

    1) What's your plans for the weekend?
Getting a picture done for my step-dad of my mom and myself with our two dogs. Mom wants to frame it and have it say something like "my girls." Then BF and I are going to finish up our Christmas shopping. I want to set up my tree in my room and also wrap everything I've already gotten.

    2) Does your company have a holiday party?  If you're still in school, do any of your classes?
I think they do. I have been working here a while, but never during the Holidays so I'm not sure. We don't have any in school either.

    3) Do you plan on hosting/attending any holiday parties this December?
Yeah I'm attending a bunch of family gatherings. Just to get a sense of it, My mom is one of eight, my dad one of 6 and my step-dad one of three. I have a huge family and have to fit everyone in around the Holidays.

    4) What's the best thing that happened this week?
I sent my resume in for a new job. I am also one week closer to graduation!

    5) Qualities that are most important in a vacation destination?
It has to have activities but also a place to rest. If I want to sleep then I want to be able to. But if I am in the mood to play, then I also want that to be readily available.

    6) Who are your favorite travel companions?  What is important in a travel companion?
BF would be number one. I also love to travel with my family. As long as everyone gets to do what they want on the trip and everyone has fun, then that is all that really matters to me.

    7) Would you vacation with your immediate family?  Would this be ideal, okay, or a nightmare?
Yes I would. It would be nice, although my step-dad thinks that now that I am 22 I can go on vacation alone, therefore they shouldn't have to take me anywhere. I don't think he gets that we could go on vacations sometimes, but that I do not have to go everywhere with them. He's hot and cold, there is no happy medium. It gets really annoying.

    3) Do you plan on hosting/attending any holiday parties this December?
    Hosting, no. Attending, heck yes.

    4) What's the best thing that happened this week?
I'm going to be a Debbie Downer and say nothing. No, wait, I take that back. FI finished the game he was woring on!

FI and DD. She travels really well. I like people who provide good company.

No, not my mom. Probably not my younger sister. Sometimes she gets on my nerves. Maybe my dad. I've never travels with any of them as an adult. I have traveled with FI's family recently, however. It was a good time.
    I'm not good at feelings.

    1) What's your plans for the weekend?
Going to Christmas in the Park tonight if it doesn't rain. Tomorrow is my early b-day dinner. I didn't call the restaurant soon enough though, so they won't give me a reservation. We're just going to have to show up early and hope for the best (it's only 8 or 9 people, not a huge crowd).

    2) Does your company have a holiday party?  If you're still in school, do any of your classes?
Mine does not, but FI's does. It's not until January though (it's always in January for some reason).

    3) Do you plan on hosting/attending any holiday parties this December?
    Nope.

    4) What's the best thing that happened this week?
I started tap class last night. I haven't taken tap since college, and it was a lot of fun.

    5) Qualities that are most important in a vacation destination?
A beach. Also amenities such as bathrooms are nice.

    6) Who are your favorite travel companions?  What is important in a travel companion?
FI or my BFF. It's important to have someone who likes to do similar things and also doesn't get on your nerves. I also had a coworker that I usually went on business trips with. We always had good times, too.

    7) Would you vacation with your immediate family?  Would this be ideal, okay, or a nightmare?
With mom is great. Dad is not as fun because he doesn't like to do much. FI and I are going with my mom and brother to Seattle for Christmas.

    1) What's your plans for the weekend? Celebrating mine & Chris' 5-year anniversary tomorrow (sleeping in, morning sex, ihop for breakfast, visiting our puppy, afternoon nap, dinner, and more sex haha) and then cleaning the house on Sunday

    2) Does your company have a holiday party?  If you're still in school, do any of your classes? None of my classes have parties, but my work party is the 15th.  Ugh.

    3) Do you plan on hosting/attending any holiday parties this December? Other than work, no.  I'm going home and doing Chris' family dinner and also Thanksgiving (our family's was cancelled because my stepdad was in the hospital, and since we're Jewish Thanksgiving is my mum's BIG holiday, so she rescheduled)

    4) What's the best thing that happened this week? I got a call from work last night telling me I don't need to come in today.  Now I have a long weekend!  Also, wedding planning with my bestie- I'm beyond happy for her.

    5) Qualities that are most important in a vacation destination? Lots to do.  I get bored easily.  And good food.

    6) Who are your favorite travel companions?  What is important in a travel companion? Chris.  I could go anywhere with him and only him.  In fact, most of my travel has been just the two of us.  Important is: someone who doesn't complain about walking a lot (that really bothers me, I'm really active), someone who wants to have a good, drama-free time, and someone who doesn't mind my cat naps before dinner

    7) Would you vacation with your immediate family?  Would this be ideal, okay, or a nightmare?
Uuuhhhhh I might?  I don't think we'd all do everything together.  Like, we'd rent a house and do our own thing through the day and maybe meet for dinner.  I think after a few days it'd get tense.  We're all self-defensive and take everything the wrong way, so that's not fun over long periods of time.

    1) What's your plans for the weekend? BF & I are putting up the Christmas Tree... I'm going to bake cookies and we're gonna decorate the tree... Our 1 year anniversary is on Monday, so I think that will be our celebration...

    2) Does your company have a holiday party?  If you're still in school, do any of your classes? My company is brand new so this will be our first year... We've been talking about a Christmas party but with the way things are going around here... I'm not so sure....

    3) Do you plan on hosting/attending any holiday parties this December?  My cousin usually hosts a big family party for Christmas... I won't be hosting any parties until I'm in my own place...

    4) What's the best thing that happened this week? BF didn't go to VA this week because he had a minor surgical procedure (no, not a penis enlargement! LOL - that's what my brother keeps saying) So the best thing was being able to see him all week because we never get to do that...

    5) Qualities that are most important in a vacation destination? It's as far away from NY as possible!

    6) Who are your favorite travel companions?  What is important in a travel companion? I have a few friends that I love traveling with because we have a lot of fun together and we love actually going places and not just sitting out on the beach or by the pool... I love to do those things but I like to actually see the places I visit... not just the pool

    7) Would you vacation with your immediate family?  Would this be ideal, okay, or a nightmare? I would probably kill myself on a vacation with my parents... I avoid being locked in a car with either of them for more than an hour...

Going to Target for Xmas paraphernalia! I need a new stocking and BF and I need tree ornaments! Also a Christmas lights tour of some sort. I'm stoked.

    2) Does your company have a holiday party?  If you're still in school, do any of your classes?
Nope. Kind of wish we did, but on the other hand, it's a really small company and it could just be awkward. I see enough of my boss!

    3) Do you plan on hosting/attending any holiday parties this December?
I'm pretty excited about my themed New Year's Eve party. It's a secret...

    4) What's the best thing that happened this week?
BF got home from Bumfrick, MN, last night after being away since Monday morning for work. Spontaneous things happened. Wink

    5) Qualities that are most important in a vacation destination?
For me, historical sites, great art, great food, and a dash of booze thrown in.

    6) Who are your favorite travel companions?  What is important in a travel companion?
    What's most important? Flexibility!

    7) Would you vacation with your immediate family?  Would this be ideal, okay, or a nightmare?
There was a fair amount of that when my siblings and I were kids. I would do it under the right circumstances, but my mom can be a pain in the a$$ because she always has to be in control. So...ehhh.

    1) What's your plans for the weekend?
Ice skating and Christmas caroling and Christmas parties! Hopefully some cooking and baking too.

    2) Does your company have a holiday party?  If you're still in school, do any of your classes?
    Yup. This weekend!

    3) Do you plan on hosting/attending any holiday parties this December?
I have no friends, so not hosting anything. Getting together with roommates from college as is our annual tradition.

    4) What's the best thing that happened this week?
I am all vaccinated for my upcoming trip!! Woot!

    5) Qualities that are most important in a vacation destination?
I'm liking beaches more and more. And tranquility.

    6) Who are your favorite travel companions?  What is important in a travel companion?
BF; my mom. I think a travel companion needs to have well-thought out plans and goes at the same speed you like to go.

    7) Would you vacation with your immediate family?  Would this be ideal, okay, or a nightmare?
I'll go with anyone except my dad. He takes wayyyyyy too many pictures! It is IMPOSSIBLE to travel with him.

    1) What's your plans for the weekend?
Finishing up lots and lots of projects for my classes :(

    2) Does your company have a holiday party?  If you're still in school, do any of your classes?
Yes, it will be a little later in the month.

    3) Do you plan on hosting/attending any holiday parties this December?
Yes, I'll be having on on the 18th.

    4) What's the best thing that happened this week?
We had a pizza party in one of my classes instead of a final!

    5) Qualities that are most important in a vacation destination?
I like a good mix of everything. I want a place that's affordable, but still has plenty of options for things to do. I like places where I can be outdoorsy and adventurous one day, but relax by the pool the next day.

    6) Who are your favorite travel companions?  What is important in a travel companion?
Probably BF. Most of the traveling I have done (at least in America) has been with him. It's important to have someone that is laid back. Things will inevitably go wrong during a trip, and I hate it when people can't go with the flow or adapt to the changes.

    7) Would you vacation with your immediate family?  Would this be ideal, okay, or a nightmare?
I am going to vacation with my immediate family this month. Our neighbors have a big timeshare in San Diego, so they always invite us to come with them. This time BF is coming too. We're hoping to use some of the time to scout out apartments, since he applied to grad school there.  In the past it has been okay, as long as everyone keeps some distance. My mom and brother have opposite political views, which results in a lot of yelling, but I'm hoping to avoid it this year, because I'll have my own car there.

    1) What's your plans for the weekend?
BF's work Christmas party tonight, and an ugly Christmas sweater party with friends tomorrow night. Sunday is a Christmas dinner with BF's Dad's side of the family. It's a very festive weekend. In between the festivities I'm studying for my one and only exam (for my one and only course).

    2) Does your company have a holiday party?  If you're still in school, do any of your classes?
Yes, we do. It's even through the workday, which is sweet, because I have enough holiday stuff to do after work.

    3) Do you plan on hosting/attending any holiday parties this December?
Hosting, no. Attending, yes, lots. We've been to 1 already, and have 3 this weekend. We will probably go to a few more as well.

    4) What's the best thing that happened this week?
I bought a couple of Christmas presents! Yay! And I got a whole ton of projects off my desk at work! Also yay!

    5) Qualities that are most important in a vacation destination?
Lots to do. I'm not interested in just sitting on a beach, I want to get up and go and see as much as I can.

    6) Who are your favorite travel companions?  What is important in a travel companion?
Umm...I dunno. I guess I need the 'get up and go' type of people. Those who don't get stressed out are also good.

    7) Would you vacation with your immediate family?  Would this be ideal, okay, or a nightmare?
It would be OK. We did it this spring, and it was fine, but they don't travel the way I like to. However, the vacation didn't cost me much, and the time together was good, so in all it worked out.
