What a surprise proposal

http://forums.theknot.com/Sites/theknot/Pages/Main.aspx/wedding-boards_just-engaged-proposals_finally-5

Engaged while looking at a venue.

How BSC does that sound?  "How did he propose???"  "Well, we were looking at a venue for the wedding, and he gave me the ring!"

And how do you like that "F* YOU NEY!!!!"

Hahahahahaha.

Oh geez. Like getting the ring means you WEREN'T BSC before. I don't think it works that way. You were still BSC... kthxbai

    Well, good for her.

I'm not a big fan of her ring though.

She is a little crazy. She hangs out on the Christian board and I always wanted to call her out but the Christian board wouldn't like that.

I get that you tell all pre planners the same thing. I understand that , although I did explaine that my FI was ok with all plans and said go ahead and was involved in the whole process.
I'm currently also trying to enroll in nursing school in the fall. Pre-planning was getting quotes and date options, having less to do later for the purpose of school. But I'm not gonna bother to get into all that again .

I dont care one way or another who likes my ring. I rather enjoyed that I was still a topic of conversation weeks later.

If i wanted drama I'd wacth Young and the Restless.

<div>I'm guessing you aren't really gone, so I'll say this: you were BSC if you were planning a wedding while not engaged, even if your SO said it was ok. If you and your SO were planning a wedding together, then you were engaged before he ever put that ring on your finger. Quid pro quo. Or QED (I always mix those up).</div>

<div>Yeah, it's definitely not everyone's. Hell, it took me awhile to get used to! And I will admit that I'm excited to add my wedding band to it so it looks more 'weddingy.' <div>In fairness, it's not the blue enamel that makes it NMS.  That part I like.  It's the thickness of the band and the bezel setting.  Those kinds of rings look awful on my short stubby fingers.</div><div>

I loved that my proposal was about just me and my H.

Texting during a "romantic" evening with my H?

    THAT is NMS.

The reason we get on people for pre-planning is b/c it reflects a certain lack of maturity and perspective -- it tends to indicate a person who is more about appearances and other people than their relationships or SOs.

This proposal story only lends credence to that opinion.
