Ember, your bug!

I didn't know if you were still looking back at the bug post but it is definitely a hemiptera, family I am guessing is Rhopalidae (can't tell without looking at it closely).  I guarantee that the bug will not bite nor spray you with any smelly chemicals.  It is a strict plant feeder and does not look like the hemips that are commonly referred to as "stink bugs".  As far as getting rid of them, I have no clue.  They are a seasonal bug, so hopefully won't stick around too long.  They do not glow, and do not "click" and some other posters commented.  Both the glowing and clicking bugs are beetles, but both equally as unharmful to humans.
If the bugs are congregating on any house plants then you may want to temporarily move them outside or to a place where the bugs won't be biting you.  They only have sucking mouthparts and wouldn't be able to put holes in clothing.
   Overall harmless but annoying.

Thanks!!! I currently have 2 of them living in my living room. The one sits on the garbage can and the other is on the wall. I'm letting them have free room and board for the moment, but the moment they land on me they are goners :)

HAHA! It sounds like you are giving them a good life!! Do you have any names for them?

Hahaha... No! maybe we should have a NEY poll to decide on the bugs names :)

Oh, they could also be goners if my cats find them. My cats have eaten 2 of their friends :)
