Your suggestion to ask FI his 3 fav/3 dislikes about me backfired, lol.

I've heard, "I don't wanna play this game" 3 times. He didn't want to write down bad things. I told him he can write down little things, like I did that he can change easily (using too much water) or he can write down bigger issues. And he is not so very good with words, so instead of it coming out "There's nothing that I don't like about you", it came out as "There's nothing about you that I don't like that you can change".

So he made it sound like there's something he doesn't like about me, but it's beyond my power to change. Me being sensitive about my weight, I automatically go to that. I fought back the insecurities and didn't get upset though. I know he is bad with words, but now he doesn't want to play, lol.

He's doing it, but now he thinks that I'm upset with him, lol.

Liv: I think this could be a good way to bring that subject up. When was the last time you guys sat down and really discussed a timeline of sorts?

Lol, sounds like a guy worried about his car. I can't give FI foot rubs. He's uber ticklish. I can't even give him backrubs if they go below his shoulder blades, lol.

FI definitely didn't see this as a good communication building game, lol. He also didn't want to play and then felt bad that I made him write bad stuff about me, lol. I think he's over it now though. I reassured him that I did ask him to tell me these things, so it's constructive criticism, not destructive criticism.

I made FI play a new game. I asked him what he thought of the board. I had to ask yes/no questions, but he thinks it's fine, it's mostly healthy, only partially strange because he doesn't see you guys as "real" friends since we've never met, lol and I guess basically he has no opinion on it.

Your BF sounds a lot like my FI. He thought I was trying to trap him too, lol. He still did it though. He wouldn't let me watch as he wrote his answers down though. So I gave him lots of space and reassured him I wasn't upset with him after he did it. I think him starting out making me think that there are things about me he doesn't like, but I can't change wasn't a good start though. He said I made him nervous as soon as I asked him to do it because he knew there was not going to be a happy ending, lol.

OMG. I am DYING. I had the worst night ever at work (well, not ever, but at least one of the top five) and I am laughing so hard. RDR's farts, Mo's Earl noises, this is amazing. I'm sure I'm going to get similar answers from BF, if he's not already asleep when I get home. I'll fill you in tomorrow :-)

I almost wrote in "I'll bet you 10$ he tries to say there's nothing about me he doesn't like", lol, but then I erased it because I figured it'd be really embarrassing if he didn't say that. But my FI did try to get out of it that way too ... and royally screwed it up, lol.

I don't think our guys like being put on the spot, lol.

Elle, I think my FI would put my sex drive down too if he had thought of it. It sucks lately. I've been on sex drive decreasing birth control since I was 18, so I don't even know what a "normal" sex drive is, but I feel like mine is lacking. I must need to eat more chocolate and oysters, lol.

Haha, I might ask Steven to play when I get home from work tonight, though I'm sure the moment I ask for "likes" and "dislikes" he's going to go into defensive mode, lol. If I can get him to comply, I'll post his responses.
