[QUOTE]Jemmini and Lam: Do you like Serj Tankian's solo stuff? He has the most interesting voice!

I like Empty Walls and a couple other songs, but I'm not to crazy about his solo stuff as a whole.  Likewise, I also like They Say by Scars on Broadway (the other guy from SOAD), but not too much of their other stuff.  For some reason, it still sounds like they are both trying to create their own version of SOAD instead of truly going 'solo'.

[QUOTE]bawidget said The White Stripes so now I'll take Bright Eyes. One of those holdovers from high school who have luckily gotten even better since then. Saw them live earlier this month and it was amazing!

I am loving Bright Eyes right now.

All-time for me would probably be Jack Johnson.

If they would make new music already, I might have to switch to Two Door Cinema Club or Mumford & Sons.

I'm a big fan of Alison Krauss. Her songs remind me of some awesome happy times from my childhood.

Light Grenades (the one with Anna Molly) is the last one I have, and I enjoy that one.  I need to check out If Not Now, When?.  My problem is that the radio stations in South Florida suck and I listen to XM all the time.  I rarely hear new music in this genre.  <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-undecided.gif" border="0" alt="Undecided" title="Undecided" />

When I lived in Columbia, there was an amazing independent station that I would listen to.  I heard of some great artists on there.  I miss it.

I agree, it does sound awfully similar to SOAD but I still like it! when I first heard them I thought I was hearing the lyrics wrong and had to double check if what I thought they were saying was what they actually were saying..turns out it was and they are awesome lol Banana banana banana terracota pie!

I won front row tickets once on the radio to see her and Union Station and a bunch of others for the soundtrack music of Cold Mountain.  It was the most amazing concert I've ever been to.  Her voice is one of a kind.
