This one. It's my favorite and BF loves it too. I substitute the 1/3 cup of water with white wine instead. I serve it on angel hair pasta and it is amaaaaazing!

Thanks :) I'm going to try that tonight! I think I'm going to substitute mushrooms for corn. I don't like mushrooms.

Haha, we have differing opinions. I love mushrooms so I always put in extra mushrooms when I make it.

It usually starts to smell so good about an hour into cooking it.  I always want to eat it well before it is ready. Let me know how you like it!

    I have one!
    Beef Stew:
2 lbs. beef stew cut into 1 inch pieces
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 teas. salt
    1/2 teas. pepper
    1 1/2 c. beef broth
    1 teas. Worcestershire sauce
    1 clove garlic
    1 bay leaf
    1 teas. paprika
4 carrots sliced ( I use baby carrots)
    3 potatoes (can use any)
    1 onion ( I use chopped frozen)
Put meat in Crock-pot. Mix flour, salt and pepper, and pour over meat. Stir to coat meat with flour. Add remaining ingredients and stir to mix well. Cover; cook on low for 10-12 hours, or high 4-6 hours. Stir well before serving. Enjoy!!!

It smells so amazing!  I would totally make it today except we have no power and 2 feet of snow!!

    My go to recipe is...

The cheapest roast I can buy, half a bag of baby carrots, and about 10 potatoes cut and peeled. Cover roast with water and leave in the crockpot for 8 hours on high. No spices, nothing. Everyone raves over it.

I have a crockpot cookbook, but more often than not, I don't use it.  I've always just thrown things in the crockpot and let it go and everything is always good.  Hint: always spray the crock with non-stick cooking spray before putting food into it.

We're having stew tomorrow, but it's the simplest thing that I do - toss in some stew meat; cut up some potatoes (I leave the skin on); throw in a handful or two of baby carrots; sometimes I throw in mushrooms (canned or fresh, depending on what I have); pour in 2 cups of broth (I keep bouillon cubes in the cupboard as a staple) and some worcestershire sauce and set it on low for 8-10 hours (high probably 4-6).

I made one last week that turned out pretty good: mandarin orange pork chops - we used the thinnest chops and I think it really needs to be the thicker chops - cover with a can of mandarin oranges and set at low for 4-6 hours (we didn't care for the taste of the cooked oranges, but the meat had a wonderful flavor).

Another quick and simple one: take a small roast and cover it with about 1/2 a bottle of BBQ sauce and cook 8-10 hours on low (4-6 on high).

    Now I'm hungry.

    Black bean chicken

    3 cans Black beans
2 cans corn (I use frozen corn too)
3-4 chicken breast cut into bite size pieces
    16 oz jar of salsa
    1 cup un-prepared rice

throw all in crock pot on high for 2-3 hours or low for 4-6, until chicken is cooked throughly.
top with cheese and/or sour cream.
