I'm PWing today because I'm sick and stuck on the couch with nothing better to do.

I'm on a wedding dress kick lately.  I like looking at dresses, so whether you're just dating, engaged, already married, a lurker, a noob, a reg, a chupacabra, etc., just show me a picture of a dress you drool over.

I went to look at it the other day and they sold it at a trunk show.  So, if it's still around in two years, I'm going to find it and try it on.  It might be the one.

I adore jcrew dresses, but ordering one without trying it on first? I couldn't rationalize spending the money. I just have the kind of figure where I need to try things on before buying. I was happy with the dress I ended up with from David's but yeah, I still sometimes check out jcrew bridal b/c I just love how casually elegant the dresses are.

Lyn, I adore all of those dresses! They are all just so pretty! I was looking at wedding dresses with my friend who is getting married soon and she hated this one but I LOVE it!

I love lace, and the antique look.  I hate white, off-white, eggshell, ivory, they all look white to me.  I want champagne or light gold colored.

Ack!  That's BEAUTIFUL!  I'm not so much for beading, but I may have to just try this one on anyway!

My ideal dress would have a back just like that back (except lace, no beading), and very similar to the front except no empire waist (probably a ribbon around my natural waist instead, like the Jim Hjelm one I posted) and see-through straps over a sweetheart neckline.  If it could be a creamy pink with an ivory lace overlay, I'd totally *swooon*

Cate - I love the backs like that as well. I tried one on because that had been what I had silently been hoping for. However, the lace on my shoulders drove me nuts.

I'm not sure I can pull off lace (I love lace dresses -- I'm just not sure if they're me) but I would love to find a dress with either blush pink or champagne colored satin under a white-ish organza overlay.

...and then a ribbon sash matching the satin base layer...

...with a narrow a-line silhouette and one-shoulder neckline...

mmmmm there's got to be one matching that description out there somewhere!
