This weekend was alright. I got caught up (ish) on some work for my online course and spent the night Saturday with my Mom since BF was away for the weekend with my Dad. Nothing too exciting, but relaxing (which sucked, cause I couldn't get to sleep last night - I just wasn't tired enough).

I'd rather sky dive, I think. It's on my list.

Would you rather...visit the North pole or the South pole?

My weekend was awesome. I spent some much needed quality time with BF.

I would rather skydive. Actually, I have always wanted to do that...maybe one day.

Would you rather be unable to talk OR be unable to walk?

Weekend was good. Had a party that was a blast. Then yesterday BF and I jut cleaned and relaxed watching some football. It was nice.

I would rather Sky-dive. I wouldn't want to get jerked around by the cord.

I would rather visit the North Pole, to see Santa and Buddy the Elf, obv.

I would want to unable to walk, because communication is more important then mobility I think.

Would you rather one really close friend, or a few not so close friends?

I'd rather sky dive.  Same reason - no interest to get whipped around on a rope.

No real desire to visit either the North or South pole, but if I had to pick one I'd do North.  I don't like cold weather.

I'd rather be unable to talk.  But really, the sense I'm most afraid of losing is my hearing.  It's really like being locked in to not be able to hear!  My hearing was all clogged up after my plane ride for a full two days, and it was ridiculously annoying!

I'd rather have one really close friend.  That one is such a no-brainer for me.

I would rather be bungie jump -- I think the landing after sky diving would be hell on my joints.

I would rather go to the South Pole.  Penguins anyone?

I would rather be unable to talk.  There are other ways to communicate.

Question inspired by Friends:  Would you rather go the rest of your life without food (pretend you won't starve to death) or without sex?

To answer my own, I don't want to visit either pole either, TBH. I think I'd pick North, just because it's closer. The South pole is a long way from here!

I would prefer to be unable to walk. I feel like there are solutions to being immobile (like a wheelchair), but not so much for being mute. EDIT: I just remembered sign language. I'd still rather be immobile though (although neither would be desirable). More people can push a wheelchair than understand sign language. Talking is a bit thing for me.

I'd also prefer 1 really close friend. What I have right now is a bunch of not-close friends, and I don't love it. I mean, ya, I like them all, but I miss that best friend relationship (BF doesn't count in this case).

without sex (*gasp* I kinda love food, haha) and um, no bungie or skydiving for me.  I might just die of a heart attack :)

Happy Monday, all!  This weekend was full of football and shopping but we had a lot of fun at World Market (it has a lot of cool trinkets) so I was pretty excited about that.  AND we finally got a copy of Young Frankenstein (the boyfriend insists I'm strange since I've never seen it.)

Trying to think of some simple ideas for our anniversary coming up (3 years) because  DC seems a little bit too pricey at this point.

Blue & White, I'm a former DC local and happy to help with ideas!  If I were still up there, we'd be going out to the vineyards for some wine tasting.  The Charlottesville area has some cute B&Bs for not too much money, and lots of great vineyards.  Or you can go somewhere nearby for a day trip!  Congrats on your 3 years!  We celebrate 2 years tomorrow!  As we've had a big expensive trip, we're playing it low key.  Last year, I was unemployed so we just had a simple picnic, which was awesome.  I think we're going to make that a tradition.  We weren't going to exchange gifts, but I found something that was too good to pass up - flying lessons!  So I bought us each 2.  We're going to learn how to fly a cessna plane!  Scary/exciting!

I'd go without sex, too, though it would be a hard sacrifice.  I just love food that much, and BF and I love eating and cooking together.

Would you rather fly a cessna plane or learn how to hang glide?

Weekend was great.  It was my Bday, BF got me a Kindle and I screamed like a little girl.

I'd rather sky dive, I have bungee jumped.

I'd rather go to the South Pole, I think.

I'd rather be mute and able to walk.  I learned a little sign language for my Autistic nephew, and I'd be cool communicating like that.

I'd rather go without (good)food and have sex.

Would you rather have a crappy job that paid well or an enjoyable job that payed crap?

I am crazy jealous of your flying lessons.  That's something BF and I have been wanting to do for years.

So, I would rather fly a cessna.

I would love to both fly a Cessna and hang glide! Do I have to pick one? I think I'd pick hang gliding, it just looks like so much fun!

And an enjoyable job that paid nothing without question. I need to enjoy my work or I get cranky.

I'm probably the minority, I work a job I don't like for little money.  So I could work a job I hate to make major dough.

I'd rather hang glide than fly a cessna.

I live in flats, and RARELY wear heels, so going the rest of my life in flats would be no problem.

I'm all for the heels. I would much rather wear heels.

I would rather have a job that I loved that didn't pay as well. Although its really hard for me to say that I wouldn't want that really that high paying job.

I would also rather be unable to talk than walk. the way it is I think I communicate far more via text than vocally.

No flying Cessnas, or hang gliding, or bungee jumping, or sky diving. I am a pansy when it comes to heights and not being firmly planted on a solid structure. I did go ziplining though and that was fun.

Would you prefer to have no phone or no internet? (no you can't say no internet because you would use the internet on your phone.)

I would rather be stuck in flats.  In the long term, heels are bad for your calves, hips, and back.

I would rather have a job I enjoyed without the huge paycheck, but that's only because BF is going to be a doctor.  :)

I would rather have no phone.  I can keep in touch via facebook and email.

My weekend was awesome. Saturday, we had all of our close friends over for the first time and watched "How to Train Your Dragon" and then played board games. Sunday, we went to a corn maze which was also a blast. We went at night so it was by flashlight only. It was super muddy which just made it more challenging.

I'd rather sky dive because bungie jumping looks painful.

    The south pole.

    Unable to walk.

    One really close friend.

I love food too much so I'd go without sex.

    Hang glide.

Enjoyable job with crap pay. Story of my life. lol But I think life's too short to be miserable for money.

I don't even own a pair of heels so flats for me. :)

No phone (I can just use skype lol).

Would you rather have the ability to read people's mind or the ability to fly?

My weekend was great. BF turned 21 on Friday, so that night we had a nice dinner for just the two of us (it's been a while since we did that!) and Saturday night we went to a bar with some friends and then came back and had a house party and played Rock Band. Sunday was a birthday party with BF's family, since him, his aunt and his mom all have birthdays within a week of each other.

I'd rather fly, because I don't want to be inundated with people's thoughts and hear the truth of what they really think of me.

The weekend was good. I hung out with the BF's mom and sister on Saturday and on Sunday we finally(!) chose tile for our entryway, hallway and hopefully our kitchen. We also went to an early lunch at our favorite seafood place then met up with his parents and sister to celebrate his parents 29th anniversary.

I don't want to do either, but if I had to chose one, prolly sky diving

The south pole because they have penguins!!

Unable to talk... I love sign language

    One really close friend.

I'd give up food, except for chocolate, for sex

Hang glide because I've already flown a Cessna. Bf's dad has one and he let me fly it.

Enjoyable job with crap pay. Had a job that paid well and I hated it and I hated my life when I was working there.

    Heels!

No phone... I'd have email and facebook :-)

    Read people's minds.

    Chance playing the lotto.

    Most overdressed

If you could visit one place in the world for free, where would you go?
     I'd visit Ireland

    StarGazingHiker,

I totally thought that being unable to talk I could use sign language too, but then I wondered if sign language counted as "talking"...

I obviously think these things through way too much!

Mmm... I didn't think of it that way. I guess sign language could be seen as talking. What about writing/communication with pen and paper? Is that considered talking as well?

I'm a dork and I love thinking about these things!

Cute idea, Cate. This is the perfect distraction from the paper I have to write ;-)

Would you rather bungee jump or sky dive?

Bungee jumped once... that was enough.

Would you visit the North Pole or the South Pole?
I really want to go to Antarctica.

Would you rather be unable to talk OR be unable to walk?
Unable to walk. Our society has made better strides in accommodating people with mobility issues than it has for the non-verbal.

Would you rather one really close friend, or a few not so close friends?
One really close friend, hands down.

Would you rather go the rest of your life without food (pretend you won't starve to death) or without sex?
I love food too much to go for the other option ;-)

Would you rather fly a Cessna plane or learn how to hang glide?
Both mildly terrifying, but I'll take the plane.

Would you rather have a crappy job that paid well or an enjoyable job that paid crap?
I have a crappy job that pays crap ;-) So coming from someone who is experiencing both, I would much rather have a job I enjoy. Even if it's for less pay than I am getting now.

Would you rather be stuck wearing heels or flats everyday for the rest of your life?
I don't wear heels. I walk everywhere, and I have to stand all day at work.

Would you prefer to have no phone or no Internet?
No phone, you can still communicate with most people if you have internet connection.

Would you rather have the ability to read people's mind or the ability to fly?

Fly, I probably don't want to know what other people are really thinking.

Would you rather be the most over-dressed person at a party or the most under-dressed?
Most under-dressed. I have the tendency to judge the most over-dressed chick for trying too hard.

Would you rather chance winning the lottery or steal an equal amount of money if you knew there were absolutely no way you would ever get caught?
I wouldn't steal the money. Even if I weren't caught, I'd be too worried about karma.

If you could visit one place in the world for free, where would you go?
If it's free, I would fly to Seychelles. A direct flight there costs an arm and a leg.

My addition: would you rather be stranded on an island alone or with someone you hate?

    I left off around here...

Would you rather have a crappy job that paid well or an enjoyable job that paid crap?
It depends on what the "crappy job" entails.  Boring?  Sure.  Horrible inhuman boss?  Nope.  But in general, I'd rather be happy and just pretend money doesn't exist.

Would you rather be stuck wearing heels or flats everyday for the rest of your life?
Tough one... I love heels, but if I had to choose, definitely flats.  There's too many things you can't do in heels, like running.

Would you prefer to have no phone or no Internet?
No internet - I use the phone to talk to my family nearly every day, and I'd miss that.

Would you rather have the ability to read people's mind or the ability to fly?

Definitely fly, I have no desire to know what other people are thinking.  I've found out that the mind is a scary place.

Would you rather be the most over-dressed person at a party or the most under-dressed?
Under-dressed - casual chic, ya know?

Would you rather chance winning the lottery or steal an equal amount of money if you knew there were absolutely no way you would ever get caught?
It depends who I'd be stealing from - if it was an honest business or charity or something, then I'd just take my chances on the lottery.  But if it was from some corrupt businessman (a la The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) then I've got to admit I'd steal it.

If you could visit one place in the world for free, where would you go?
Nepal.  I've got some friends from there, the food is incredible, but getting there is super expensive and very difficult.

Would you rather be stranged on a desert island alone or with someone you hate?
Good question, really make me think.  I would probably take someone I hate, simply because I'm a social person and would likely go insane if I was left alone indefinitely.
