Eyelash curler

Tell me what you would think in this situation...

I was in Phoenix this weekend (obvi for the NEY G2G!), and I was also supposed to pick up a heated eyelash curler from my cosmetologist-friend who specializes in all things eyelashes. She was selling them $25, and I ordered one from her via text.

When I got to Phx I texted her to let her know I was nearby and could pick it up anytime on Saturday or Sunday, but I didn't hear from her until this morning. She apologized for not getting back to me sooner, and that she is willing to ship them to me. No big deal, cool beans, I thought... until she told me it would be $4 to ship.

Would you be cheesed that you could have picked them up in person while staying in Phx town, but then got blown off and now have to pay for shipping? Or should I just let it go and pay the $4 for shipping?

  • I would just pay the $4, but thats me. I'd vent about it to BF for a second to be sure, but its not the end of the world.

  • I might be slightly annoyed but it's just $4. It wouldn't be that big of a deal to me.

  • Thanks, I just needed affirmation that my annoyance is warranted.

  • I don't mean this in a mean way, but if you're that hard up for $4, you shouldn't be buying a $25 eyelash curler.

The $4 for shipping wouldn't bother me at all.

    Unvalidated.

  • It's annoying for sure, but not the end of the world.  I'd have been really pissed if she was trying to charge you like $10+ to ship it, but $4 is about right.  Plus, I'd be satisfied with knowing that she 's slightly inconvenienced by it too, having to package it, go to the post office, etc.  LOL.

  • Shoes - It has nothing to do with the $4.... I was literally 3 miles from her all weekend and she had told me I could pick it up. I just wanted to play with it this week!!

    Jemmini - LOL. Good point.

  • I'd be annoyed on principle, not about the money.  She failed to respond to your texts - she should pay the shipping.  *shrug*
  • I hate shipping costs. I'm so cheap that I end up googling to find a discount code, but unfortunately give up after a while. Some times I'm able to find them though, which is awesome. On another note - I'm terrified of eyelash curlers. I've never owned one, because I'm pretty positive I'd be the girl missing her eyelashes after yanking them out accidentally.
