Holy Crap.

I'm posting this one day prematurely because I won't be around much tomorrow (have to drive to New Orleans to pick up my wedding dress!).

6 months.  That's how long until I get married.  I could throw up.

Anyone got anything interesting to put in this otherwise pointless thread?

    hahaha suck it up I'm right behind you.  Want to share the porcelain throne with me?  I know the feeling, 17 months, now down to just over 6 months.  Still have a bunch of details to cover.  Don't think about it, go pick up your pretty dress, take pics and enjoy New Orleans!

    Just wait til you get to 3 months to go. I was so sick of wedding stuff by that point. That's also how there was at least a two month span where we did nothing wedding-related.

    Here's a pretty Christmas tree for your thread. It's in my office, and the ornaments need to get themselves on the tree 'cause I have a headache.

    Ok, engagement story:

    FI got the ring in October, after several months of working together with a jeweler.  I knew he had the ring, because the jeweler accidentally included me on the shipment notification.  

    We were long-distance at the time, so every time we saw each other I was convinced it was going to be it, and I kept being wrong.  Then just before Christmas, we went skiing at Copper Mountain and I was sure that would be it.  But still no.

    A few weeks later, just before the start of his Spring semester, FI decided he hadn't quite gotten his fill of skiing for the year, yet, so we hopped in the car and drove 15 hours to Taos, NM.  I wasn't worried about getting engaged on that trip, because I had seen the ring box sitting on the dresser just before we left, so I thought he wasn't bringing it.  We had several fun days, then one night we were hanging out in our hotel room (which ended up being gorgeous and a great deal), I joked that if he didn't propose soon, I was just going to start planning the wedding without him.  He said, "Fine, I'll propose to you right now if you want." or something like that.  I told him I knew he didn't have the ring but he raised his eyebrows and told me that maybe he did after all.

    A little while later, I walked out onto the patio, which was covered with snow and had a great view of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, to let my dog use the bathroom (we brought him with us) and I turned around and saw FI rummaging in his bag.  So from that moment, I knew what was happening.  He came out and said "Will you have this much fun with me for the rest of our lives?" and I, of course, said yes.

    I can't believe your wedding is so soon!

    I don't really have much to add to this thread. I finished writing an 11 page paper at about 3:30 am. I need at least a C on this paper and a B on the final to get a C in the class, fingers crossed that I didn't fail!

    I know I am starting to freak out and I am 5 months away!  5 months!  I have nothing planned besides a venue, dress, church and a groom.  OMG.  Oh and I have colors and BMS and FI has GMs.  You girls are going to have to help me.  I am not very creative. 

    I have nothing of interest to add to this thread other then my mini freak out :)
