AW: Pretty successful day...

Oh hai new MacBook with Photoshop, Dreamweaver, everything else imaginable on it for $500!

I've been drooling over a mac for years. Now I finally haz!! FI found it in a pawn shop today and called me. I rushed over after working thinking it was too good to be true!

Also, I called our dream apartment complex that was full on my way to turn in our application at another place on just the off chance they would have an opening. Just my luck, they have one opening and it's the apartment we fell in love with!!

So now I have a place to live and a kick ass computer!

Do you have anything to AW? Any exciting plans for the week?

    Awesome!
  • We had a patient clinically die in clinic today. That was... interesting. She was dead for at least a solid fifteen minutes, but apparently they were able to resuscitate in the ambulance and she's in the ICU now. So... GO TEAM!!

  • ooo! what a great day for you! That's great!

Nothing really AW-worthy here. I did sign up to volunteer at the humane society, though! I'll be working with orphaned birds (feeding them, cleaning, watching baby ducks swim in the pool) :) I'm super excited. I've wanted to volunteer there for forever and finally stopped procrastinating. I had my training on Sunday and the program begins in June. I can't wait! Once that's done sometime in August, I can sign up for another program to move up to working with other wildlife.

Well, it's the program that they need volunteers for right now. With it being spring and lots of eggs hatching, it's the "busy season" with birds that were orphaned. I love all wildlife though. I find animals to be so fascinating and would love to go back to school for zoology. Not thrilled with the idea of more student loans, so I'll just volunteer for now.

When will you find out if you got the new place you want?

Yeah, it was pretty cool, and I have to say, if I'm ever dying, I hope the head of the drug development unit is there, because he totally rocked ass at CPR and intubation. I stand in awe of his powers.

But now the adrenaline is wearing off and I am exhausted.

That's awesome that you get a bigger space for a barelythere increase in rent. I like birds. I think they are interesting to watch. I cant decide if I want to be a crazy cat lady when I grow up or that old lady in Home Alone who was sitting on a park bench feeding birds. I think that was Home Alone. Maybe the second one?

Whaat? Why do you hate them? You can't have hate for these tiny, fluffy creatures. They're so freakin cute. Especially the ducklings. Love 'em.

I had a meeting with the president of the company that I work for yesterday and she raved about how I'm picking things up so quickly.  I've been with the company for almost 4 months now and have been given 3 new responsibilities with in the last 3 weeks.  I'm working on an ongoing project/job for the president of the company as well as 2 other projects that are ongoing for my department.  This makes me happy because my review is coming up and having all these extra "gold stars" as my boss says, is good for it.  This week had better go by quickly.  I want to go swimming in our new pool!!!!

ETA: Audrewuh: congrats on the macbook and new apartment.  That's awesome that the apartment complex had an opening and for the apartment you loved!!!  Talk about being at the right place at the right time!!! :)

<div>Yes yes! And I won't suck. I even have a guest room everyone can stay in! I told FI that I opened up our new apartment to everyone and his eyes bugged out a little. I reassured him 10 girls wouldn't be flooding our apartment. </div><div>
</div><div>But, he did say when we got a house... ENEYGTG2016 at Aud's house?</div>
