On His IPod

I borrowed my FI's iPod for work today because I'm too lazy to update mine and his has more music. He has varied music tastes, so not a lot of the stuff on there really raises an eyebrow for me, and some of the stuff is on there because I asked him to put it on (like Florence + the Machine).

I was flipping through tracks and...Katy Perry came on!? I had no idea he even liked Katy Perry's music and, even though I do, I didn't ask him to put it on there! Teehee...

What's the weirdest or most out-of-the-blue music you've found on your SO's iPod?

I had to borrow FIs iPod for a couple weeks when I lost mine. He loves rock... Killers, Rage against the Machine, Megadeth. I had to fast forward probably five songs to find one that I could even listen to. Granted, my iPod is filled with country music, Jay Z, Beyonce, and Adele, so he'd hate listening to mine, too!

Oh, so to answer your question, FI loves Ke$ha and Katy Perry. I just laugh at him whenever one of those songs comes on.

FI has a very narrow taste in music, so I'm in the opposite nothing on his Ipod has raised an eyebrow from me.  His music is exactly what I expect from him.  Alternative and Rock.  Foo Fighters, Weezer, Eagles of Death Metal, Queens of the Stone Age.

BF has an intimate relationship with Ke$ha's album. He'll start dancing inappropriately and thrusting his hips all around the apartment.

    He also loves Glee...

My FI loves Glee too. He has ALL the tracks PLUS the Warblers album.

I love accapella music (especially since my dad sings barbershop), but I'm not interested in Glee very much. He also loves the show, but hasn't kept up with it after season 1.

I don't think I know who the Warblers are...

I am not a fan of FI's music tastes. Some are okay, I suppose. But for the most part... eek. Him and his roommate are not on a dubstep obsession kick. ALL. THE. TIME. I am not a dubstep fan. AT ALL.

The Warblers are the all-male a cappella group that's been on Glee since halfway through season two. Darren Criss's character Blaine (Kurt's boyfriend) used to be the leader of the Warblers.

I know way too much about Glee. Seriously, it's a sickness.

H and I actually listen to the same type of music (I was so excited to find that out on our first date, lol), so our iPods are pretty similar.  We have slightly varying tastes in specific bands, but overall it's the same genre.

H does have the Glee album on his iPod though.  We watched the first season, so he downloaded it.  Neither of us had heard half of those songs before they were done on Glee, lol.

It seems like all that Tyler has on his iPod is Linkin Park, Tool and the entire Pink Floyd discography. I seriously don't ever hear him listen to anything else.

BF has a pretty wide variety on his ipod most of it I can listen to and tolerate, he has phantom of the opera to hardcore rap/hip-hop so you never know what will come on next.  I was surprised a few months ago when I heard a Lady Gaga song come on.

BF loves old rock, some alternative stuff like Foo Fighters, Mumford, etc. Then one day we are in his truck listening to his ipod and Taylor Swift's 'Today was a Fairytale' comes on...I looked at him in shock and he just said 'What! I like this song' all defensive. I died laughing but of course we both ended up singing along to the whole thing.
