Your wedding style

We want to know: How did you "know" your wedding style? What inspired it? This could be as simple as a favorite color, lace from a dress, a wallpaper pattern or a movie. We want to hear it!

I always knew since I was a little girl that I would get married on the beach in the Outer Banks of NC.  My father took us there for summer vacations and I immediately fell in love.  When FI and I started dating, he began joining us on our annual summer vacation to the OBX and he too fell in love with it. 

I couldn't have imagined getting married anywhere else and I thank my father for introducing my sister and I to the OBX.  I have very fond memories of summer vacations with friends & family over the years and wanted to create another memory with our wedding day. 

It was the first time in my entire life that I had ALL of my family together at one time, under the same roof.  It was a very overwhelming moment for me and still gets me a bit teary-eyed.

We were married on 9/16/11 with our toes in the sand and the beautiful ocean waves as our backdrop.  It was the most beautiful day for us!

Our wedding style came from a combination of both of our favorite colors. We both love black, red, and silver so it was a no brainer to incorporate those colors into our wedding plans.
