Tuesday Workout

If you all don't mind (and you can skip over these posts if you'd like), I think I might start doing a daily workout post for anyone who'd like to join in. I used to do this with my WW forum before I ended my subscription and it really helped me a lot to stay on track. Even if the ladies didn't do a workout, they'd get on and share what they did do (cleaning, walking, etc.) and it was a way to stay involved so we didn't get lazy. So, I think I'll do that, even if I'm the only one sharing. But I know Tiger and Lyn and Allusive, as well as a bunch of other ladies, have started new programs, so I think it might help.

Today I did Insanity: Core Cardio & Balance. This is supposed to be the easy one, but I didn't wait long enough after eating and it's been so long since I've done Insanity that it was way harder than I remembered it being, lol. I still burned almost 200 calories though according to my new HRM. I need to up the max limit though because it still beeps at me all the time.

How did/will the rest of you do today?

I wish I lived close to some of you ladies, we could have JD parties! I hope you feel better soon! Definitely don't want to wear your body out if it's not feeling well.

<div>It's reeeeally fun. Maybe you can ask for a Wii as a birthday gift? Or Christmas next year? They had them on sale this year for $99 so maybe they'll be even cheaper next year. </div><div>
</div><div>That's what I'm thinking also.  I'm on my 3rd cup of tea & I've take 2 packets of emergen-c so far. My head feels all weird, ya know? Like woosy almost. I don't have any "real" meds because this morning it was just my throat bothering me & really what do you take for a sore throat. Now I wish I had my Advil Cold & Sinus :(</div>

I think I probably will ask for one for my birthday/Christmas, but unfortunately those are only 2 weeks apart, so I have to wait til December. If it gets a low enough sale I might just go ahead and get it though. P90x was $120 but worth it, and from what I've heard about JD it really works and is fun, so I think it'd be a good investment : ).

That's the worst when you don't have anything and just have to stick it out. Maybe you can ask around and see if any coworkers have anything? This reminds me that I keep meaning to make a little emergency pouch full of stuff like that to stick in my purse.

That is definitely a good thing and half the battle, lol. I either do really well, or really, really bad. Two hours at the chiro does not sound like fun, but hopefully they'll get you back in working order soon! FI noticed a red line on my back last night. It's about 2.5 inches long right on my spine and looks like a scratch/bruise, but doesn't hurt. I have no idea where it came from.

<div>Mmmm candy hearts! So yummy. Can't you have both? :)</div><div>
</div><div>I like the songs on JD2 better than JD3 by the way. Check the song lists on Wiki before you decide which to get, I wish I had gotten JD2 first (well now I have both so I guess it doesn't matter but yea...) although I think the graphics & layout of JD3 are better. </div>

  • Bean: I'd ask for it for Vday, but we decided we're going to save money and not do anything, lol. Good point though!

Lyn: I'll keep posting as long as you do too! : ) Everybody talking about their workouts yesterday is what inspired me. Plyo is fun, but watch your knees. Some of the moves can lead to injury if you're not careful or have weak knees. I was fine all except the ones where you jump and twist and then as soon as you land jump and twist the way you just came. What do you think of Tony so far?

  • I did my Insanity workout today: Plyometric Cardio. A couple times I wanted to skip exercises (damn you 'Ski Abs' and 'Basketball Drills') but I forced myself to do them!

FI is starting a new work schedule so we're basically getting up at the same time which will help me keep on schedule.

Thanks for the advice elannis.  I like pylo, been doing it before and so I'm sure I'll take it easy until I can get into the swing o things.  As for Tony I agree he is a talker and the nicknames for his work out partners kills me.  Hahaha.... even his counting down raises an eyebrow from me.  But I'm really good at toning him out so I'll survive.

Oh, ok. I didn't realize you've done it before. I fast forward a lot through his dvds now to just get to the actual workouts. I think there's an option to turn off the extra chatter, but it still takes up time, so not worth it, lol. I found a video on YouTube of people doing Ab Ripper and played it while I did mine yesterday. They did it out of order, but it kinda felt like I had someone doing it with me, so it was kinda neat and kept me in it without being bored. FI can't do it because of his back so I'm on my own there too.

That's awesome. I wish my FI would get up early to do them with me, but he gets to bed a bit later than I do, so there's no chance he'll do that. He's a night time work-outer, whereas I don't do it if it's past 6 PM, lol. Oh well. And way to go for sticking through the whole thing! I skipped some today, but my stomach was getting upset and my neighbor was home so I figured it'd be ok to skip a couple jumping moves.

  • I'm happy to start participating in these threads. It's awesome to see the progress you guys are making. I've been doing Zumba for the past few days. I'm a little sore today sadly since it's been a while since I've worked out. I'm going to go for a walk tonight when I get home though. It should be fabulous out. I've also got to give myself some kudos because I've been eating pretty good too.

I'm really jealous of you ladies that have FIs or friends that work out with you. I always do so much better when I have other people.

Yeah, I think I do better when FI works out even if he doesn't do it with me. I feel like a bum if he does and I don't, lol. He hasn't been able to lately because of his back, but it's getting better.

You can always consider us your friends to do it with! We can't literally do the workouts with you, but it really does help to be able to come back and share what we've done together. It helps a little, at least.
