haha i think a Christmas elf would be more sensible, then they could help all of the newly engaged with planning the wedding and making the center pieces

Hmmm, based on what Oceana said it sounded like just a Christmas sweater once you join that club. No word on a reindeer.

I'm going to ask BF for a reindeer tonight and see what he says. I know a pony wouldn't fit into our apartment when it got older, but reindeer don't get that big...

I think ground hogs are kinda scary, TBH. The cartoons always have their front teeth sticking out and stuff, kinda like beavers. Hmm...I think I'll stick with the reindeer. Or leprechaun, he was pretty cool too.

What is wrong with a pony?  I want a pony.  All the other things sound to time sensitive.  The turkey would be dead before Thanksgiving was over.  But a pony is good for the whole year round!

this is somewhat related but back in the 60s my mom and her sisters did get a pony for christmas. it was tied to the leg of the piano when they came down to the living room on christmas morning and you can still see where it chewed on the piano. i always think of this when i think of engagement ponies.

I came home and told FBD I wanted an engagement animal.  He promptly picked up both pugs and presented them to me and said:  "Engagement pugs.  Will you marry me?"  Of course, I said yes.  And gladly accepted Mikey and Molly, who were so happy they covered me in kissed.

I asked BF for a reindeer tonight. Not an engagement reindeer, just a regular reindeer. He said no. I was sad, but it's OK. It might be kind of smelly.
