Not Engaged Yet

Most ridiculous thing you've ever seen on the knot/nest/bump?

I was on the knot when I got engaged with my XH.  I eventually moved over to the nest when it started.  Soon, our baby groups grew so much that the bump was created.

I've seen a lot of craziness, but the one gem I remember the most was the best baby question of all times:  "If I use my vibrator while pregnant, will my baby get shaken baby syndrome?"

What are your gems?

Miss honors sash, I'm-growner-than-you-think-I-am? Yeah, I remember her.

We've had a lot of ridiculous stuff on here.  Ice rink girl ended up being a troll, so I don't really count that.  Some of the *other* ones on here though? I'm not sure.

p.s., and yes, Paige, I remember the Sobe :-)

    I remember this!

I can't think of many other than the crazy beebees. That, and this girl was showing off her baby portraits on TN. They weren't my style (mom and dad dressed as fairies and whatnot, weird) but a lot of people in the thread basically reamed the girl about how cheap and awful her pics were. I felt so bad for her.

This isn't knot related but on my HS softball trip freshman year, this 8th grade girl who thought she was fab and all that "miss know it all" went also. She had never put a tampon in and my coach was trying to explain it to her. The girl got confused and asked her to show her on Makenzie, my coaches 2 year old daughter.

I think I've seen more disturbing sh*t on the Nest then on the Knot. This one woman posted a link to her blog and it was all about being a "Trophy Wife" it was the most ludicrous thing I've ever read. There was tips on how to look good at all times and where she went shopping and how filled her day up (she had no job of course), even how to clean the toilet without getting your hands dirty. It made me want to punch her in the face. Obviously her blog was not warmly recepted on TN.

Anyone have any links to ItalyThomas stuff? I hear so many things but I think she was before my time.

I can't think of anything beyond the usual BSC stuff. I do remember the Ice Rink wedding, and I am glad it turned out to be a troll.

ItalyThomas was great. There are a lot, but I just can't think of them right now.

There was a question on the bump about whether or not the OP should stop her birth control while she was pregnant because she was afraid that she would get pregnant again. It ended up turning into a huge debate about whether or not it is possible, and whether or not the fact that it IS possible made the question any less ridiculous. It was pretty much based on the fact that she knew some "Irish triplets", and didn't really do the math figure out that they were all at least 9 months apart.

FYI, it is possible, but is VERY VERY rare and usually happens VERY close to the first conception, so they're pretty much twins.

Since I haven't been around that long and she was the first BSC post I read: The special snowflake girl who GBCKed and then sent her BF to delete her account only to create a new account the next day with a one letter difference and GBCK again if I remember correctly.

I think I see more dumb stuff on the Knot iPhone app than the regular Knot. I think there are more beebees there.

[QUOTE]So let's sum this up: OP cant afford healthcare, can't afford non-covered BC, can't go without sex, her FI's dong is the size of a horse but at least one of them is alergic to latex and no one makes a non-latex condom that they can buy locally that's large enough to fit that thing, I'm going to make the assumption that either she can't order non-latex large size condoms online for some unknown reason, or can't wait to have sex long enough for them to arrive, and she can't go to planned parenthood because there's not enough time, doens't want advice if it's not the advice she wants and her last resort is to seek out medical advice on a wedding website. Sounds like the only option for her is to switch to anal sex.

So many things but I love when a knottie/nestie/bumpie gets revealed as a big fat liar.  Like someone posts crap and then someone they know IRL tells everyone it's not true.  There was a crazy month board mod whose fiance dumped her but she stayed on the board (sad) and kept talking about their wedding plans.  The guy had a girlfriend and everything and it finally all came out.  That sounds mean but she was also a biitch.

And when a girl on the bump asked if anyone else in their first trimester was on birth control because she didn't want irish twins.
    TTC since 07/11 Me: 32 AO PCOS/DH: 32 Lowish count/motility IUI#1-3 = BFN (Clomid, Clomid-->Femara, Injects) IVF#1 ER on 9/24 19 ER/19 M/9 F w/ICSI Transferred a 5AA and a 5BB on 9/29 Beta 10/9 = 139 Beta 10/11 = 287

Umm. It's not really that funny.. but it's something.

On the nest, a woman found out her husband had a chromosomal disease (he didn't know prior, he wasn't hiding it from her) and it caused him to be sterile.  Basically, his body wasn't producing enough testosterone, so he couldn't keep it up when they were trying to have sex.  So he went to the doctor because he was concerned about not being able to please his wife.  And he got some medicine.  Well the medicine caused him to have unexpected bowel movements and disorientation.  And she was going to divorce him because of it.  It was completely ridiculous and sad.
