Woo! I don't have anything on fridays so thursday is extra sweet for me.

1) Have you done your taxes?
My sister does my taxes.  She's an accountant.  I am not good with calculations.

2) What's growing in your garden?
NOTHING. I've been telling everyone I want tulips, but everyone tells me I have to wait till fall to plant them if I want them next spring.

Oh I have too much of this... hmm..

The ferris wheel was invented for a World's Fair (like the Eiffel Tower and the Space Needle) in... 1893... I think.

4) How do you feel about acrylic nails?
I usually hate them, but i actually have some on right now.  They're super short, and don't show over my fingers, so they're really just to keep me from biting my nails.

5) What's the best pizza you've ever had?
There's this place called Venus Pie near my hometown.  It is incredible. But their sweet tea is always sour.

I got nothing. Although I am just throwing out there that I am a little peeved that Heathrow airport is closed because I am supposed to be flying to London in the morning!!!

4) How do you feel about acrylic nails?

Look beautiful on, but not worth what it does to your nails when you take them off. I also hate getting stuff stuck under my nails when they are long. Kinda grosses me out.

5) What's the best pizza you've ever had?

TKs Pizza in Fairport, NY. THE BEST!!!

There are an average of 13-15 magnitude 7.0 or greater earthquakes per year.  So actually, we're right on track.

Not into them at all.

5) What's the best pizza you've ever had?
It had a very thin crust with sauce, mozzarella, and tomato with basil filled oil olive drizzled all over it.  It was in Italy and I think about that pizza all the time.

No garden I live in a townhouse w/ a crappy association that will throw a fit if you so much as have a planter outside.

4) How do you feel about acrylic nails?
I'm not a big fan. I keep being told I need to get them for the wedding. I am not looking forward to it. I got them done twice in high school. Both times it was unbearably painful when they put them on. Then my fingertips are always cold when the nails are on and they are very difficult when dealing with contacts.

5) What's the best pizza you've ever had?
That would be something my friend Nick made. He makes the best pizzas ever!

Of course.  Us Canadians do our taxes early!! haha
We got enough back to pay off both our credit cards, pay down his student line of credit AND put $2,500 in our "Down Payment for our Dream Home" fund.  (That's what I have it named as in my online banking...lol)

2) What's growing in your garden?
I have daffodils out front and tulips on the side. Crocuses were out but they've gone and died now. 
Inside I've got transplants started for basil, oregano, parsley, chives, garlic chives and tomatoes.  They're all getting big and healthy.  2 more weeks or so until they go outside.

4) How do you feel about acrylic nails?
Still undecided....I like them when they're shortish...but long ones can be really tacky!!

My dad's homemade BBQ chicken...YUM!!

Guam and the Mariana islands have one of the highest rates of consumption of Spam in the world. Each person consumes an an average of 16 tins of spam a year.
4) How do you feel about acrylic nails?
They can look nice sometimes but make your nails look awful when you decided you aren't going to wear them anymore.

I don't do them, but my friend who is an accountant did them for me back in January.

We don't have a garden which makes me sad because I grew up around all my moms flower gardens and I miss them. We can't have our own though b/c we're in an apartment.

I think they're really hard to pull off and most people should file them shorter.

5) What's the best pizza you've ever had?
There's this greasy little shop up in the boonies just north of where I live and I've yet to find any place that even comes close.

1) Have you done your taxes?
I filed back in February, because I wanted to know how much money I had to work with in terms of putting money into savings vs. the wedding account. I got a nice refund, and FI got a promotion at work, so it turns out I could put my entire refund in my savings, plus continue contributing $100-150/mo to savings from my paychecks (any money I make from TAing, photo gigs, outside jobs, or any spending money I have laying over at the end of the month, I stick in the wedding acct.).

2) What's growing in your garden?
At the moment - mint, rosemary, sage, basil, oregano, cilantro, habanero peppers, green chili peppers, and roma tomatoes. Yeah, I'm a garden freak.

3) Random trivia, give it to me!
Sand tiger sharks exhibit something called intrauterine cannabilism - essentially, when a sandtiger shark has fertilized eggs, they develop into several embryos within the womb. The strongest embryos then proceed to eat his/her brothers and sisters, as well as any unfertilized eggs within the womb, until he/she is the only embryo left. Talk about sibling rivalry.

4) How do you feel about acrylic nails?
I've had pink-and-whites for about four years now, and I love them. People laugh because they see me working in the field, diving, working in the lab with them and they ask me all the time, "how do you keep them nice when you do the job you do?" To be honest, once you have them done, you don't have to worry about them for 2-3 weeks (they constantly stay looking like you just had them done), and they break a lot less than my real nails ever did.

5) What's the best pizza you've ever had?
Andolinni's Pizza in Charleston, SC. No sauce, extra cheese. Biggest friggin pizza I ever saw, literally dripping in cheese (just the way I like it). Second to that was a pizza I had at a little cafe in Montemarte in Paris...white pizza with ham. It was literally the best ham I have EVER had.

I wouldn't surprise me. I guess saying "it looks like blood and you'd think it was blood because of the color but it's not it's just from the TNT" is kind of a personal experience statement. lol

Yes. I've got my refund back too. I have saved most of it, I need to pay bills this summer in case I'm unemployed for very long.

2) What's growing in your garden?
Nothing but once we get to Denver I'm hoping to get some hanging baskets and planter baskets. I will probably kill it all though, I good at that.

Iowa State University built the first computer and they have an exact replica of it. Also the reason the call it a bug when something is wrong with the computer is when computers were giant they went to check what wrong with it and there was an actual bug in it.

4) How do you feel about acrylic nails?
I like them once in awhile, I got them for prom once but I grow out my nails and so I really don't need them. I guess if I break one right before the wedding I might get them done just so they look good.

I don't know. I like pizza a lot but I don't know what the best was. I know in middle school I had pizza from family friends while at a church group thing. It was really good but I'm afraid that I have embellished the memory.

I had my taxes done with my dad's business so they've been done since February but I still missed the deadline for FAFSA by like a day...GRRRR

Nothing. I dont have a garden and if I did the dogs would eat it.

After you die your fingernails still grow. My uncle works at a cemetery and they had to dig a person up after 30 years for some reason and he said his/her nails were extremely long..and it was the worst smell he's ever smelt/smelled (?)

4) How do you feel about acrylic nails?
I like the short/useable french tip. Too many colors or too long gross my out. I always wonder how they wipe their hind ends efficiently.

5) What's the best pizza you've ever had?
Nana Rosie's by my house is AMAZING! It's so greasy but its AMAZING! Hence the double all caps AMAZING.

I've never had them and probably never will.  I have pretty nice natural nails and I've heard too many horror stories about acrylics... besides the cost seems frivolous to me.

Montgomery Inn (local rib joint) bbq chicken pizza from LaRosa's (local pizza joint).... sooo good!

Not for me. My life/job is one giant DIY project. I haven't painted my nails since junior high. (I got 1 mani for our engagement party. It didn't last long)

There is a study going on currently in the UK that is attempting to treat food allergies (particularly peanuts) by actually feeding the subjects the food to which they respond. They've found that you can actually desensitize a person to their food allergy.

When we'd go to my grandparents' cottage on Lake Huron (my mom's family is from Detroit), we had these little toasting irons that we'd use to make pizza. You put a slice of bread in each side of the iron, then a layer of cheese and sauce, and close the iron. Cook over a bonfire for a few minutes = pizza sandwich. Great memories.

They can look incredibly trashy but they can also look nice. I have a cross between acrylic and fiberglass. They are short and I get them filled every other Friday so they look good. Honestly people are usually shocked when they find out my nails are fake, they just think I have strong natural nails that I take good care of.

5) What's the best pizza you've ever had?
Mama Mia's - Geneseo, NY but that might just be because we ate it drunk all the time in college

Weeds? LOL I don't have a garden. I'm planning on trying to grow something in my new apartment though. Get a window box or something. I have seeds I've been saving.

Some movie theaters in Greece do not have roofs because of the constantly warm weather.

4) How do you feel about acrylic nails?
They're not terrible. I've had them only once and I ended up ripping them off. I get the UV Gels now. It's my real nail but the gel doesn't chip or anything.

My father, may he rest in peace, made a white pizza with roasted tomatoes that was to die for. I miss it every day.
