Halloween!!

Ok so I am getting super excited for Halloween.....anyone dressing up in anything extra fancy or fun!?

Or, do you hate the holiday all together...if you do, don't be a debby downer. :-)

I just bought my pirate costume, and the BF has his beard grown out to be the best pirate ever!! I know pirate is not original, but thats what we came up with..

How about you???

    I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!

We're decorating when we get back from the FIL's this weekend. *squeeee*

I'm considering being a crazy pug lady. Think crazy cat lady but BETTER. I'll have a bathrobe and slippers on, crazy hair in rollers, BRIGHT red lipstick and I'll carry around a pug stuffed animal.

Or I might be a court jester. That's always fun.

I love Halloween too!! We'll still be on our honeymoon over Halloween so I doubt we'll be dressing up. It's one of my fav holidays though!

Halloween is a pretty deal for me because I work in a bar... and this year I get to wear three different costumes - one for actual halloween, one for our halloween staff party and one more because I'm working a private halloween party...

Three different costumes makes my head hurt...

Our friends have a Halloween party every year and sometimes it has a costume theme. This year the theme is Mad Doctor. BF and I were planning on dressing as two Batman villains who were also doctors: Dr. Jonathan Crane (aka Scarecrow) and Dr. Harleen Quinzel (aka Harley Quinn). We both love Batman.

Coincidentally, Harley Quinn got a makeover for the Batman: Arkham Asylum video game, giving her a psychotic nurse look instead of the jester costume. So I'm going to try to copy that. Neither costume should be hard if we find most of it at Salvation Army or make it ourselves.

    I second this notion!

I love Halloween, last year a friend threw a cartoon/video game character theme party. I was Chung Li from Street Fighter and my BF was the Flash.

My fav from that party was a picture of Gumbi drinking a Guinness LoL!

Totally looking forward to this year! Not sure what to be yet... BF wants to be Green Arrow, he's starting to grow the beard.

Bella I have ALWAYS wanted to be Harley! But I want to do it right. I'm a huge Batman fan. My whole family is pretty much. Harley (as "Dr. Quinn") is actually a really good idea for a Mad Doctor theme! So's Scarecrow actually.

That version of Harley Quinn's costume is not easy to find. I was going to wear this costume to Comic-Con this past year, but couldn't find anything and was going to have to make it myself but I didn't have time. I hope you have an easier time finding stuff.

yah i love all those batman costumes! that's awesome.

I tried to get my boyfriend to be Link, so i could be princess zelda. He had a strong opinion on the whole "i have to wear tights" issue. I told him he didn't have to. but he literally looks like link...blonde hair blue eyes. Either that or a giant Ken doll, but I would make a terrible barbie. Well, I could be Barbie's curvy sister.

I love Halloween. FI and I haven't decided 100% on our costumes yet, but one of our ideas was for him to dress up as Dexter and I'd be one of his victims. I kind of like making our own costumes because it never fails that you'll run into 50 people dressed the same in a store bought one.

This is so true! I was an eskimo a couple years ago, and this other girl who was smaller then my right thigh was also in the same costume. But i bought actual boots, embelleshed a bra with sequins and fur, and did my hair and makeup all frosty. Needless to say I was super cute, she just threw the costume on and walked out the door. So many people were like wow you look so much better. I was like HAH HAH take that stick figure. (she was also rude and made some comment to me that she bought the costume last year....cause that matters!) She was just jealous that I had better hair. hmmpff. forgot where i was going with that, but i obviously am still bitter about that.

Oh I'm fully expecting it to be tough. I have a few ideas in mind as to how I'm going to make it work, but the costume just has so many elements to it that I might go mad. But I can't think of anything else to do for a costume. I'm not very creative this year I'm afraid. But then again, I thought of my costume for last year ("trampled in a mosh pit") about three days before Halloween.

GPB, I still demand post Halloween pics. That is going to be too cute!

I bought fabric yesterday for my Lady Gaga outfit. It's the grammy outfit seen here:
    http://amygrindhouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/04-Red-Carpet-Photos-Grammy-Lady-GaGa.jpg

It won't look quite that awesome, but I think it'll get the idea. I borrowed a friend's petticoat and I'm going to drape silver fabric on it. Then I bought styrofoam to make the spiky satellite thingy. I also ordered the blonde & yellow wig. Add makeup and a pound of glitter and voila!

I also have Katy Perry outfit for a performance at my old workplace on the 29th. I got the blue wig, a red & white polka dot top, short jean shorts, and red polka dot wedge sandals. I want to AW my wig. It came out looking fantastic! I'll take a pic later.

I have not always been a huge fan of Halloween, but mainly because my mom was really religious and I was not allowed to dress up when I was little, but this year I live in Tahlequah minus my momma and its a big drinking holiday. I am mildly looking forward to it, except I am not a huge drinker. Boyfriend and I were watching Grease the other day and I thought it would be fun to go as Danny and Sandy, I know its over done, but I have super bleached blonde hair and I know I could get it to tease really big. Plus i already have the black tights and black shirt, and red high heels. Oh yea, I am planning on being the bad Sandy not the cutesy one.

I love everyone's ideas! I really want to see pictures of people's costumes on Halloween too :)

I'm debating between Cleopatra and Medusa. Kinda cliche, I know. I'm thinking of getting my hair cut soon to have blunt, straight bangs which is why Cleopatra caught my eye (I'd straighten my hair). I've really wanted to be Medusa for a few years now, because I can have wild crazy curls if I want and I'd love to do it. I adore ancient mythology! But if I dress up as Medusa I want to go allllllll out. I just don't feel prepared for it this year lol.
