Aww, come on, I think it's cute!!!

Maybe do a skiing themed groom's cake?  A small white 'snowy' cake, with that as a topper?  Adorable!

ETA:  The bonus with that is you can keep it - add a string to the top and it becomes a very cute keepsake Christmas ornament!

We could definitely do it for the groom's cake.  Truth is, though, that snow skiing is much more of his thing than mine.  I'm making a real effort to learn to love it, and I'm most of the way there, I think, but I wouldn't bother if he didn't love it so much.

Oh yeah, and I won a bet a few weeks ago and won the right to decorate our cake with a subtle Harry Potter theme.  *evil grin*  FI is about to find out just how loose my definition of the word "subtle" can be.

Haha, yes.  I already told him that he has free reign over the groom's cake, even if he wants a flavor I dislike.  I like your idea of making the cake look like a mountain.  I'll definitely suggest it.
