Andrew and I have been decorating. Enjoying the deocrations is our favorite part of Christmas!

This is the first time since I was 6 that I've had a mantle!

Look at these little guys I acquired at Pier 1:

We have already put up one tree and will be going to chop down a real one next weekend:

Andrew about had a cow when he saw the price tag on this ornament- but it's a special one:

My favorite ornaments are the ones that are special to my parents and the ones that they got before they were married. We put those close to the top of the tree.

Even the pets are excited for Christmas (maybe...kinda):

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Finally getting into the Christmas mood! : ICongratulations to your FI! I've been researching Judaism more and more intensely over the past few months and leaning towards wanting to convert (my whole family is Catholic so that should be interesting). If you don't mind me asking, what branch of Judaism are you and FI?

    Thank you!

We are Reform Jews. Or, as I like to say, "relaxed and groovy." We're the most liberal of the Judaism sects =)

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I went through the whole process with my FI. Also, check out "Choosing a Jewish Life" by Anita Diamant. It's written for people who are converting or considering it, and what a conversion entails.

For FI, he had to attend an intro to Judaism class, then he had to attend weekly meetings with a rabbi for about 2-3 months. She gave him "homework" - books to read, questions to answer, all that good stuff. Then he did his mikvah. It was a great experience.

[QUOTE]I'm assuming those of you with young kids wait to put presents under the tree until Christmas Eve, but for those without kids, do you wait to put gifts out for each other or put them out as you get them?

We're both way too lazy to wrap anything, but even if we weren't lazy, I probably wouldn't put things under the tree because our Setter, Zoe, has become oddly fixated on eating every inanimate object ever. She's gone on this spree of eating wrappers that have fallen on the floor and stealing food from the coffee table when Tyler's playing Zelda. We can't figure out what's up with her. Bellamy's annual is coming up in a couple of weeks, so I'm probably gonna ask the vet if he knows what could be going on with Puppy.

Lunar: I've said it before and I'll say it again: I love your house and it looks great all decorated like that. I can't imagine your furbabies are excited for their hats though, lol. My parents' pooch hates hats, lol.

Stillwell: Not sure what's going on with her, but hopefully it's nothing serious.

Danie: I love Charlie Brown, so I'm definitely ok with a CB Christmas tree, lol.

I hope to decorate this weekend, it's the only weekend I have to do it! The rest of my weekends are sucked up doing A Christmas Carol. Hopefully the Bf can help me this weekend, the boxes are so heavy. I have a fake tree....
BF doesn't decorate his house with his cats.
