Ooh, you know what else? I had the BEST strawberries and yogurt in Paris. Seriously. That yogurt was like the fresh, creamiest kind I've ever had and the strawberries were just perfect. Ahh, I miss Europe. Italian pizza and pasta is so much better (and gelato... everywhere!) and the croissants... mmm.

Hey guess what? I get to eat cuy in Peru! (guinea pig, yummmyyy.)

    This steak and corn:

courtesy of BF and I cooked over open fire while camping at 8000 feet somewhere in the Rockies. I think the combination of fresh air, altitude, and cooking over an open fire had something to do with it, but believe me it was the most amazing thing I've ever ate.

Also, I'm a big fan of the mac and cheese at panera :)

I think I have to be close with Cate's post and say its a salmon roll from a small hole in the wall sushi joint that sends their food around on a conveyor belt.  I took one bite, the salmon was like but-tah! It melted in my mouth and so my eyes rolled up and my toes curled I was so happy.  LoL!  I could have sat there all night and roll that salmon all over my taste buds enjoying every little morsel of food.  The place is called Kaisan Sushi in Costa Mesa, CA.  Best thing is, its not expensive so I could blow $50 bucks on myself and be rolled out of there on a dolly.

I'm gonna go the cheap route and say Carne Asada Fries from Fillibertos w/lots of red sauce.  They are my guilty pleasure, but sooo good.

This is so difficult for me - I can't pick just one!!

Overall Best Place I have Eaten:
Not cheap, but, amazing: Commander's Palace restaurant in New Orleans.  It's actually where Emeril started off as a chef.  It's got the beautiful old-world charm, I guess you'd say, of New Orleans, and AH-MAZ-ING food. http://www.commanderspalace.com/ .
And at lunch they have 25 cent martinis....I don't have the best memory of my lunches there, but I remember them bein good....Tongue out

And Two More Best Things, From Canada:
Oysters at this seafood place in Vancouver tho I don't remember the name...but WOW they were so good.
And, at Granville Market in Vancouver, we got a block of foie gras (I know, it is controversial) and had it over the course of our stay there, I'm not gonna lie, it was REALLY good.

(I have major "food guilt" about eating animals, foie gras, etc but that doesn't necc stop me from eating them... Embarassed. I get all my groceries organic/locally grown-raised tho....even tho it's way more expensive....).

Anyway - those are some of my "food highlights," I'll stop there b/c I'm making myself hungry.....Tongue out
