Procrastination

What are you currently putting off?

Personally, I am procrastinating on so much stuff! I need to put in a load of laundry and work on my lesson plans for tomorrow. I also need to call and interview people for camp this summer. I'd rather sit on the couch and be lazy.

I have some homework I could be doing but I'm exhausted because I could not sleep last night and I had to get up early for class this morning. I'm so unmotivated to do anything right now.

I have some readings for tomorrow on animal rights that I should really start reading... and I need to put the finishing touches on my essay that's due tomorrow too. But what I really want is a nap.

Ummmm.... making phone calls for work.  I hate it, a lot.  I've called all my Spanish speaking clients, which isn't so bad.  But calling the Brazilian clients is a pain since I don't speak Portuguese - I always get stuck with receptionists who don't speak Spanish or English and we end up both getting frustrated.

But I gotta call 'em at some point.  Blah...

I need to be studying anything related to respiratory diseases. I also have a quiz to take, and check offs I need to study for.

A friend of mine actually made a Procrastination Club at school. He got it officially approved and everything. Oddly, he then got a full time job and he doesn't seem to do anything with it anymore. Haha, we even had Procrastinate t-shirts.

I have been putting off my program applications forever.

I am just completely stuck on the personal statement portion. I have to explain why I want to apply to the programs, and why they should accept me. I do know why I want to apply, and clearly I do think that they should accept me. I'm just having a hard time expressing it in an eloquent and intelligent sounding way.

The problem is that three out of the four applications have no official deadline, so I have been waiting and waiting! Unfortunately, if I don't get them in soon enough then I won't have a placement for the fall.

I'm supposed to be folding a gazillion papers and stuffing them in to envelopes for work. Luckily, this is not an everyday project.

I also have fifty terms to memorize for my History of the Islamic World class. All he keeps saying is "Remember it's a 300 level history course", and "This is a 390 course! The hardest offered!" which is really making me nervous for the exam on Wednesday.

But here I am, on theknot!!!

I have nothing to do....IT"S AWESOME!

I'm sick so I had to call into work. Nobody wants a sick waitress throwing up while trying to serve their food. That's just gross.

My favorite procrastination quote is: "Procrastination's like masturbation - you're only f*cking yourself."

I'm procrastinating job hunts. It gets tiresome, it really does. Jobunting is a job in itself. Oddly enough, I found a job that I REALLY, REALLY want and it has nothing to do with the field I am in.

I want to be a dog groomer.

Laugh if you must, but PetCo has a special program where they pay you to train, and then you start as a grooming center apprentice and eventually become a full time groomer. I always loved taking care of my dogs and I was the only one who ever took the time to bathe them and I've even done basic grooming (cutting their nails and trimming their hair) and for some reason it's always very soothing to me.

Anyway, I'm procrastinating my next move. I applied online but I want it so bad I'm thinking about going to the PetCo and seeing if someone will talk to me and let them know I'm for serious.

Procrastinating on revising the intro to my grad paper because I need to send it to my advisor tomorrow so I can meet with her Thursday.  I have been snowboarding for the last 3 days of of the four day weekend I had and my body feels like a train has hit it.  The question is what part of my body doesn't hurt.  I need to work on my paper but all I want to do is lay down and sleep.  I'm so tired I don't even want to lift a muscle to make food for dinner.  I wish there was a way I could just inject it into my body.

I really need to get to work on writing my case study and I should be doing laundry and dishes... It's cloudy and cold outside though, so all I want to do is stay curled up on the couch with my coffee and my DVR recordings of Criminal Minds...

My aunt actually gave me A ROUND TO IT. It's a charm that goes on a necklace...it's round and says To It on it. Corny I know...apparently it means that I'm not supposed to procrastinate anymore...
