No!  NO NO NO!  I love MG as much as anyone, but we all know what happens when someone busts out a quote on this board.

Butter being a carb totally has to do with losing weight.

And actually, I'm not quite sure what happens when MG comes out of the closet...I haven't been around long enough for that one.

ETA: This is payback for you not responding to that last PLL email I sent you Monday night.  I was all excited to theorize too.

We have a history of allowing perfectly good threads to degrade into pages and pages of Mean Girls quotes.  I thought it was amazing the first time it happened, but once (or twice, or three times) is enough.

Yeah, sorry for failing to keep the emails going.  FI was in town and I find it nearly impossible to play on my phone or computer while he's around and bored.  "What are you looking at?  What are you typing?  Why do you have that weird look on your face?  Hey, look up asparagus on Wikipedia..."  It's like he's 9.

See, I thought the title was just Elle turning a derogatory word into an expression of solidarity. Like, "Sup Biitches?"

Ahem. Anyway, I haven't been weighing myself, but I do feel somewhat better than I did a few weeks ago. Haven't done such a great job of eating healthfully this week, though. Bah.

well, I've lost about a pound.  :(  I really think I'm at my threshold weight.  my BMI hovers between 23 and 23.5.  if I eat less, I starve.  like, I go into irritable phases and all I want is cheese or pasta or something.  I think I just need to step up the exercise and quit looking at pounds on the scale and just tone up a little.  that and, I had a belly-pooch when I tried on my dress last week.  it was so sad.

come on girls, where's all the motivation???  :)

however...  I did pack healthy food today.  grapes, healthy choice steamer, banana, salad...  I'm prepared.

I've been bad.... we found this great Italian restaurant downtown, and it's accessible for lunch from work, so I've been eating that once or twice a week instead of the healthy lunches my guy packs for me...

And next weekend we're going on a cruise, so I'm going to pig out until my heart's content!

I also have taken a break from the running since my foot hasn't completely healed yet from the half marathon.  Hopefully soon!  I'm trying again tomorrow morning.

But I'm looking good!  I'm feeling pretty good!  But my skin is telling the story - I've got a few pimples, and it was SO CLEAR when I was eating well and exercising!  Back to the grind, I suppose!

I've lost four pounds (I need to update my sig), but I definitely have more muscles in my arms, quads, hamstrings and abs than I did eight weeks ago when we started our group training sessions. I have two triathlons coming up next month so I'll definitely keep up with swimming, biking and running, and I'm really goign to try to fit in two weight-lifting sessions each week. We have our final body comp measurements Monday, so I'll see how many inches and body fat % I've lost. Hopefully that will be motivation to keep going.

Anyway, from my belly button to mid-thigh is still a bit flabby, but I'm hoping if I keep this up it will tone up (or just go away!) by late May... it's getting to be bathing suit season here already... ACK!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who's had a rough time the last couple of weeks.  I'm on a new diet, though, that I feel really good about, and I joined an indoor soccer league (best cardio workout ever).  I really can't wait to start.

I got a personal trainer Tuesday and he is killing me, that's the point tho. I want to tone up, he said he will have me drop 20 lbs! Amazing! As I am typing this I am thinking how I do not want to go do the 1 hr cardio I am required to do on my own today. Ugh. Results, results, results!

I hear you.  I prefer cardio to resistance any day, but I'm really bad about doing cardio just to do it.  I have to do it as part of another activity I enjoy, like playing soccer, dancing, or riding my bike.
