Laughin'

Every so often I go through a phase where, instead of listening to music to de-stress and calm myself down, I listen to comedy... I have XM in my car so I flip around the comedy channels and just crack up...

A few of my favs - George Carlin (RIP), Dane Cook, Carlos Mencia, George Lopez, Lewis Black, Jim Gaffigan, Chris Rock, John Pinette (LOVE)... I could keep going...

Today I heard Edwin San Juan and Tommy Tiernan... funny!!

Who are your favorite comedians??

Daniel Tosh (Tosh.0 literally always makes me laugh, I don't think there's been a bad episode)

Conan O'Brien (we went to see his stand up on his 'Banned from TV tour', it was hilarious)

Pablo Fransisco (all his voices crack me up)

Nick Swardson (great standup and I love Grandma's Boy and his character on Reno 911)

Zack Galifinakis (first movie I saw him in was Out Cold and it's still one of my favs, his stand up is awesome too)

Dane Cook, his old stuff, I agree his new stuff is not as funny. But KOOL-AID man never ceases to make me laugh until I cry.

& Brian Regan, I noticed noone mentioned him, he is really funny, and hardly ever cusses, and me and BF agree that is kind of refreshing. I can't stand the ones that just turn into a big cuss fest.

I've only read one book by David Sedaris, "Me Talk Pretty Some Day".  I just felt like the tone of the book went too far into "whiny and bitter" territory to be truly funny.

I don't think of David Sedaris as a comedian.  I think of him as a fantastic writer with a good sense of humor.

I did go to a live reading of his several years ago.  He was great.
