We've picked out rings. My main points: Princess cut w/halo.  ~.75-1 carat total weight.

Uh- Am I the only one that thinks this makes NO sense?</strong> P.S. those are MY grandmother's diamonds. He had all the raw materials- stones, metal- he knew what we wanted. I think he needs to fix it- no cost. ::shrugs:: But we'll talk about it when we move back in a month. -What kind of metal do you want for your setting?  Ideally?  Realistically? We are using Andrew's grandmother's white gold- and that's perfectly lovely!

Maybe they meant you can downgrade the smaller diamonds on the sides so that you can have more smaller diamonds or bigger smaller diamonds? It does sound a little backwards to me!
