Thintopia, Working Out, etc.

Now that the holidays are behind us, I hope we can all get a bit more into this... Elannis has totallly smoked and meamolly is doing a fantastic job checking in and making good progress despite the holidays!

You go girls!

I didn't check in the day after Christmas because, well...  it was embarrassing. :P  But I'm on a slow downward trend, so that makes me happy. All working out was halted for me for several days because I threw my back out shakin' it up too much in zumba.  But I'm all healed up now and starting to exercise some more.

The boyfriend bought some kind of (much cheaper) program similar to a P90X, so we've started that together yesterday. In fact, he's breathing heavy in the background doing jumping jacks as I write!

Re: Thintopia, Working Out, etc.

  • I didn't do the last couple weigh-ins because I was out of town, and I'm sure as hell not weighing in today after last week's family-induced binge.  It's a self-preservation thing. If I get on the scale now, I'll be tempted to give up altogether and soon I'll be right back to where I was at this time last year.

What's the name of the program you and your BF are doing?  I'm just curious.
  • I did two of the Insanity workouts last week. I was sick for a couple days, so that threw me off, but it felt great to get back into it. I'm about to go for a 10 mile (easy) bike ride w/ FI, then tomorrow I'll get back in to Insanity.

    Still here and still fabulous!

  • I think it's called Supreme 90 Day. He picked it up for $10 at bed, bath, and beyond. It has a slew of different work-out days/dvds, and it uses weights and a stability ball.  We had these things already, so that was nice. Not nice:  falling off the stability ball when I fail a harder exercise. :) My cat was intensely curious. He didn't help.

<div>This is one of the reasons I've pretty much given up on trying to workout at home.  Furbabies make it impossible.</div>
  • Last week was due to me working a little too hard to stay under the calories for the day and I ended up eating only like 850 calories a few days. I totally made up for it the last two days though. I did actually forget to weigh myself before I started in on breakfast today so I'll do it tomorrow, but it is not going to be pretty. We had Mexican night and lots of drinking and lots of crackers and popcorn. So that means tons of salt!

I've decided I'm going to buy myself the purse I want when I reach 165 though. And then when I hit 160 I'm going to buy myself the mug warmer that I want, and hopefully me wanting these things will motivate me to stay on track again ... and will justify me spending the money on stuff I don't technically need, lol.

  • Hopefully after I'm done moving this weekend and am back in Colorado I can really start focusing on the weight loss. I've been dieting and working out but my progress is pretty minimal. I feel good about this attempt at weight loss this time around. I think my goals are much more reasonable/attainable than in the past.

  • I remember when you gals first started posting about your weekly progress and whatnot and was thinking that might be something good for me to get in on, too, though I'm sure I'll take more of the "Just Dance" approach, seeings how I hate to exercise, so I'm more likely to do it if I'm tricked into believing I'm having fun, lol.

Got room for one more? :)
  • We DEFINITELY have room for one more hulu!  We're on thintopia, search for the NEY challenge. I think the password is loveyourself, but I don't remember. :(
  • Can I get in on this? I got on the scale today (well, yesterday at this point), and I weigh more than I ever have. I was pretty much expecting it, but it still sucks. I'm officially recommitting to WW, and making a goal to get my butt to the gym on days when I don't work, and doing some sort of at-home exercise on the days I do.

  • I didn't weigh in last week because I wasn't here but since the Monday before Christmas I've lost 4lbs!!!  I have NO clue how that happened especially since I was on vacation for a week but I was ecstatic when I got on the scale this morning!

Now that the holidays are over & things are calming down again I'm going to get back into JD3 & I got JD2 for Christmas which I'm dying to try!!

  • I'm totally getting back on my fitness train! I signed up for my diet program again and I've made a personal goal to hit a class at my gym at least 3X per week. It all starts today, but I'm really excited about it!!
