Lost USPS packages

So FI and I ordered 4 different things from Amazon last week, all different sellers, all shipped via USPS. All 4 packages show up as 'delivered' when we check their tracking numbers, but we haven't received 3 out of 4 of them. We called USPS, and they said they would 'look into it,' but this doesn't give me much hope.

Is there anything we can do, or is this a situation when no one is at fault and we're just screwed?

Lol. Yeah it really sucks. I've been pretty peeved the past few days. I guess we'll try going to the post office that handles our mail, which, of course, isn't the post office that's literally one block from our house but instead 10 miles from our house. STUPID USPS.

I'm having the same trouble with FedEx. I ordered something in mid-November and it still hasn't arrived! --ANGRY ANGRY!! X(--

T'is the season, I s'pose.. If it doesn't arrive on Monday, I'm doing exactly what you said, Lunar, and going directly to the post office.

I also recommend going to your local post office. I had this issue with my copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It turned out to just be sitting at the post office the whole time. This is why I now have Amazon Prime. The $80/year is worth not having to go to the freaking post office.

I HATE this...USPS did this to me too on a a DVD. Argh. What USPS MEANS is that it got delivered to your local post office and now they are taking their damn sweet time getting it to your house.

LAME! You can call your local post office- you might even be able to pick up the package at your post office. Or it may be in their stupid truck.

Hmm, I've never had a problem with Amazon shipping, but then again, all of my packages from Amazon shipped UPS rather than USPS...??  Hopefully they are at your local post office though.

All "delivered" means is that it got delivered to your designated post office. I would check with your post office, is all. It might have made it to the post office, but not in time to make it out into today's mail. If you don't get it on Monday, I'd head over there.

Ok, thanks for the advice ladies! I'll try to remain optimistic and make a trip to the post office on Monday.

My bf's birthday present was lost by USPS. But we have the added complication of being in Canada. We called the seller and they were able to confirm that USPS lost it and that Canada Post never got it. The shipper is supposed to be resending my bf's present (a different one, obviously). But since his birthday was in November, he's obviously not getting it on time! If you don't have it on Monday and you check with your local post office and they don't have it, maybe contact Amazon and see what their policy is? They may re-ship new stuff...
