so here is the situation, I am my mother's only child and when I got engaged (5 years ago) she went and got her certification to officiate weddings....she has made this a way to make extra money and has performed over 100 wedding s since then. I am getting married on 8/14/11 and she wants to perform the ceremony...here's the problem, my FI has an aunt who is a Bishop and performs all of the weddings in his family. I want to know if its possible for both of them to perform the wedding, one doing the the "churchy" parts and one blessing the rings and the wine ceremony and then have my FI repeat after his aunt me repeat after my mom and they both pronounce us man and wife....Is this possible i don't want to start any waves in his family but I don't want to break my mother's heart either...suggestions please.....
