We are from right around UConn-storrs campus and do a lot of stuff in that area, in July we have a big battle/ traditional music at the Nathan Hale Homestead (Coventry) I wanna say 24th an 25th of July

The stand-off was due to him informing on a large part of the mafia.  My mom has a couple of crazy stories because my grandmother watched my cousin a lot before he turned witness.  Plus my mom would go and visit them when she was in college.  (My mom and cousin are just a couple of years apart.)  My uncle's phone was tapped for a large part of the 70's.

You shoudl go! its fun I have been doing it since I was about 3. This will be the first year I will not attend, they are going to be doing a special mourning ceremony for my father at the event (he passed away Oct 31, 2009) but I will be at away at a conference (stupid research!) so I can't go :(

Yeah, one of my favorite christmas gifts from last year was a datebook.  I take it everywhere and write even the smallest things in it.  BF calls me his secretary sometimes.  Last night we were talking about it, and he said "I really love you because you're so organized.  But I really hate it when you make me do stuff on time."

When I'm getting really frustrated with my life, I make about three or so lists of various things and I automatically feel much better.

My BF is a career firefighter/paramedic but I just do it for fun. I love to dive so I joined our county dive team and our main thing is to do search and rescue and body recovery, however we just tell people we are search and rescue...doesn't sound as morbid. So if vehicles fall through the ice or people do we go and pull them out, or if there are drownings and such we go. Everyone on the team is an EMT or higher. Its actually kind of fun (minus the dead people thing but its something you get use to)

I actually just finished checking off my "things to do at work today" list and then my boss came in.  She looked at my list then at me and goes "Okay darlin', add these to your list for tomorrow" and gives me like 4 other things to do.  lol  They're never ending!
