It's that time....I have to submit my info to the DJ tonight before I head out to my bachelorette party sooo I'm wondering:

Any suggestions for great songs at the wedding?  Anything that gets you moving?  Anything that you simply can't stand?

Aretha Franklin's "You Send Me" is kinda slow, but still upbeat. It brought the older couples out on the floor, which was really, really sweet to watch.

You need at least one drunken singalong song...ours is always "Friends in Low Places".

The only time I really get turned off at weddings is when they play a ton of the same thing - all country, all hip-hop, whatever. I like a good solid mix of everything, because at some point, that means everyone will dance.

I hate the really corny line dances like the chicken dance and hokey pokey..other than that they aren't so bad.

We are the Champions by Queen.  I think it is a must now.  Everyone knows that song.  Plus Paige you’re a Canadian.  You must love hockey!!! 


I also love Frank Sinatra (Just the Way You look tonight) and Swing songs (Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is my favorite artist).

Another one that got huge roars at our reception was Jace Everett's "Bad Things"...we used it for our garter toss, but they have a dance remix that you could probably use.

leia - why don't you see if your DJ has a mashup of both versions? That would be friggin awesome, and I bet you anything someone has done a mashup.

...and, ps, as soon as I get my murried bio up, it'll have our playlist in it.
