Hey all! Just wanted to send out a quick hey and Happy Valentine's Day to all. I have a weird feeling that this week is going to be crazy with noobs that either "OMG JUST GOT ENGAGEDDD!!!" or "WHY DIDN'T HE PROPOSE, I THOUGHT HE LOVED ME".

What's going on with everyone else?

    That's awesome! I'm super jealous.

    Oh and my BF is spending the night with his dad because he has to go in for surgery tomorrow, which totally ruined Valentine's day!!!! How dare his dad get infected from his first surgery?!

    Happy Valentine's Day!

    I'm sick as a dog. I actually canceled classes today for my students. I've had a temperature all weekend, I've held steady at 100.8 now for 12 hours. At my highest it was around 104. The worst part? It all hit me on Friday night AFTER I drove to KY. So, now I don't have the energy to even drive home.

    Oh, it also ruined our Valentine's day plans. For 3 years our plans have gotten ruined. It's becoming a nice little tradition :) Luckily, we're able to laugh it off now.

    HOW RUDE?! You should suggest postponing it a day so BF can spend it with you!

    FI was supposed to be out of town but he's home so IDK what we're doing. As long as it's not a card and chocolate he bought at walgreens on the home from work followed by flowers two days later, I'll be happy. For FI's sake though, the flowers however were ordered for v-day, the florist just didn't deliver them until two days later. After I had cried to my mom about him not caring enough to do ANYTHING for valentines day.

    Happy Valentine's Day! I'm definitely NOT getting engaged this week. No newb announcement from me:)  But BF and I are going to the Flogging Molly concert tonight in Atlanta! Irish punk! Woooooo! I'm totally being sarcastic about this show, but I love any excuse to go out and drink a beer, so it should be fun. 

    I exchanged this concert with BF for the Adele concert in June. I go with him, he goes with me, so I'm excited for that reason!

    We went camping Saturday night. Our roommate went with us, so it was not very romantic. This morning my BF said he was going to get up with me, but we ended up sleeping in till I only had 15 minutes to get ready. Then he said he wanted some lovin cause it was v-day. I told him I didn't have time and he made a very rude comment about my work.

    Long story short, I'm kinda grumpy today.

    Happy Valentine's Day! BF and I celebrated Friday night with dinner, tonight we're going to a Pete Yorn contest. 

    On a side note, BF seems to have been bitten by the wedding bug. After months of only wanting to talk about stuff for 2 mins at a time, yesterday he couldn't stop talking about wedding stuff! First it was the venue (he met a guy in a bar who quoted him a ridiculously good price, and the venue is one we've been to before an dloved). Then he got on this kick about having a live band at the reception. You girls would be proud of me, I must have said 'we can talk about that when we're engaged' about 10 times yesterday!  :)

    Cde, good luck to your BF's dad on the surgery.

    BF has been really broke lately (we both have) and stressed about it, so we postponed our Valentine's dinner out to this coming weekend. With all the money-stress talk, I have doubts that anything Valentine-related is coming my way today. Sigh and sadface. Maybe this weekend, though?

    I have a present for him, though, that I'll be finishing up and giving to him tonight. I got a four-picture frame thing from Target and wrote the first four lines of an e. e. cummings poem on the mats. I'm debating doing a little watercolor on the mats as well. I'm getting cute pics of us printed at Walgreens to put in the frame. Yay!

    Happy V-Day!  It's a good day here...I have an interview at 10 am and then FI and I are going to Outback Steakhouse (we got a gift card for Christmas Smile) for dinner tonight.  No gifts to each other - wedding is in 19 days...can't beat getting married as the best gift we can give each other.

    Happy V-Day!! FI and I celebrated this weekend since he is far away from me, so today I'll just be going to classes, and babysitting later. Fun fun!

    Happy Valentines to all of you beautiful ladies.  FI and I celebrated by surfing all weekend and going out for sushi and a creme brulee crepe on Saturday.  I made slow cooker pot roast for dinner tonight since we didn't want to be facing the hordes of people out tonight celebrating.  FI made me one of the cutest picture videos set to a song that reminded him of me.  I'll admit, I cried when he played it for me.

    My BF suggested taking me to a Spurs/Heat game as my Valentine's gift, but tickets are 115 each and thats up in the nosebleeds. I think he just really wants to go and is trying to use V-day as an excuse. Even though he knows he doesn't have the money for it. I kinda don't think I'll get anything at all.

    But I guess we need to look at the bright side. Hopefully you will have a great Valentine's Dinner next weekend. Hopefully my BF will sell an airplane today.

    Oh, I gave BF his watch last night.  He was sick all weekend.

    Thursday night I took him to the ER, he had a temp of 102 when we got there.  They gave him a shot of steroids and antibiotics, then sent him home with a Zpak. 

    Saturday night, his temp got to 101.7, and I was loading him with Tylenol and holding cold rags on him.  I called a family friend who is a nurse practitioner, and she told me to take him back to the ER.  He wouldn't go, and we finally got his temp down.  He scared the shiit outta me.

    He got to feeling better Sunday, so I gave him the watch.  He loved it. It took him a second to realize it was his watch, just fixed.

    Yey.

    Niknik and Marley - can I be in the grumpy club too?  I got NO sleep last night thanks to the BF.  Then he snoozed for an hour before deciding he wasn't going in.  Just in time for me to get up.  And I keep asking if we're doing anything tonight for v-day.  I would have at least made a nice dinner if I knew we weren't.  BF said he *might* have something planned.  I'm ok with doing nothing... but don't have me anticipating SOMETHING when it's gonna be NOTHING.  *footstomp*.  Why don't I believe he has something planned?  I'm still waiting for the card he supposely got me last year...

    Paige, I'm anxious for this news!! Shame on you for keeping us in suspense all day!

    I'm doing homework all day today. Lots and lots to do. Valentine's Day doesn't exist in mine and BF's world; we couldn't see each other this past weekend and we may not see each other until after Peru at the end of February.

    Thanks I had to admit that he can be creative when he puts his mind to it.  Sneaky guy though he told me was collecting pictures to send home to family in Denmark.  I'm usually the keeper of photos.

    We did a really nice dinner out last night to celebrate. Tonight we're going to exchange cards and have some chocolate-covered strawberries I made. No gifts this year...which we're fine with.

    Oh - and i'm either making baked ziti or chicken for dinner...any votes on which I should do???

    There  will be no engagement for me this week. i'm glad!!!!! Our life is so complicated right now from me in school, working, raising my 2 yr old and him dealing with chemo. He made it through the first week of chemo and sent me a rose plant, teddy bear and chocolates. He sent them friday for our 8 mo anniv and for valentines. I thought it was sweet he even remembered with all he has going on right now. He is the best!!!

    Happy Valentine's Day! FI and I really aren't big Valentine's day people. I made him a really cute card and he says he has a surprise for me tonight. Definitely aren't going out to eat with the masses though. I much prefer a quiet night in.
