Harry Potter!

I just got back from the premiere. I really like this movie! BF hasn't read any of the books but he says this movie was his favorite. For those of you who've seen it - what did you think?

Oh and this movie made me love Draco Malfoy even more, I don't know if its how the actor portrays him but I really love that character.

OMG, I loved it!!! This is honesetly the first movie that I was able to watch without bitching for a month afterwards. In fact, I actually LOVE it! I'm impressed that the director didn't mess it up like movie 6. (Don't get me started on that one...)

I agree with the Draco thing. I really liked him in the seventh book, as well. It actually developed his character more.

I would have liked to see more of Ginny in this movie, since they cut most of her parts out of the 6th movie, but the way we don't see much of her in this movie is truly in keeping with the books. I was honestly surprised to not see more of her. I was surprised, and mostly pleasantly, with most of the movie. When it ended, I turned to Shlomi (who is an avid NON-fan) and said, "That was a REALLY good place to end it."

I also agree that it was actually followable by a non-potterified audience. That might be one of the reasons it was so likeable to me.

I really liked the movie.  I was shocked at how much of the book it actually covered.  My favorite movie was still the Half Blood Prince though.

I LOVED it!!  It didn't feel like 2.5 hours at all.  I think I need to see it again.  I keep going back and forth with myself feeling like there wasn't much action and more setting the story up and then feeling like there was actually quite a bit of action.  Either way I'm not dissapointed!  Not like with HBP.

I love love loved it.  It made me cry about 6 times, the first being in the first 2 minutes (when it showed Hermione wiping her parents memories and then leaving).

What I don't understand, though, is why Steve Kloves is so determined to make Harry and Hermione a couple.  NOT GONNA HAPPEN.  Grrrr.  The tent dance and the scene at James'w and Lily's graves where she puts her head on his shoulder...  those both annoyed me.

In general, though, it was my favorite so far.

A girl on my Facebook just posted that she's going to see it again right now.

HP fans- It must be good if you see it twice in one day.

I'm glad I get to go see it again with friends soon... I got stuck next to some psycho chick in a sold out theater. She kept laughing at a lot of the super emotional parts, repeating character names, and managed to elbow me in the side among other things. I was ready to beat her with my crutch.

Beside that I did like the movie and I want to fast forward to next summer. I <3 Dobby.

I got stuck next to some super weird dude in the theater. I'm all for being a fan and having fun but if he kept pointing that damn wand thing in my face I wasn't going to need magic to punch him in the face. He was kind of loud too I kept wanting to tell him to shut the hell up. I will probably go again. I like going to the premiere but there are too many people (and weird/annoying people at that) to really fully enjoy the movie.

Gah! Now I want to go see it tonight. I'm sure FI does, but I don't know if I want to deal with a crazy crowded theatre.

Yeah, every time I go to a midnight premiere I find myself wondering why I continue to do it if I know it's going to be flooded with teenagers.  Then, when the next movie comes around, I do it all over again, and I will for the next movie in July.

It's just part of the fun to me, annoying teeny-boppers and all.

Loved it!  If I didn't have this ginormous paper to write (and we weren't tight on money) I would definitely go see it again.  At the very least, I'm going to re-read the book over Christmas holidays once school is out and I don't have work, etc.

I was especially in love with the way they did the story of The 3 Brothers.  Incredible graphic-cartoon/novel style drawings.  LOVED them.

I loved that part as a stand-alone sequence, but I wasn't crazy about it as part of the movie.  It just felt so out-of-place to me.  I felt like I was watching Kill Bill with the sudden switch to animation.

These things didn't seem "coupley" to me, but rather things that a dear friend would do in dark times. Harry and Hermione go way back, obviously and they get each other in a way that a best friend does. The dance scene almost made me cry because it seemed to me like they were acting like kids again, just for a moment to relieve the pain, loneliness and gravity of their situation. <div>

DITTO this. I don't think that they are trying to make them a couple, but Harry and Hermione have been through SO much together and they are very close. I don't sense any sort of romantic feeling between them just the feelings shared between close friends who have almost died together like countless times.

    Let me be more specific:

It wasn't the dance itself that bugged me; it was the moment right after where they were both really still and kinda staring at each other...  There was too much sexual tension there for me.  And in the graveyard, I had no problem with Hermione putting her head on his shoulder, but it bothered me that she started to, stopped, and then went ahead and did it anyway.  If it were a strictly platonic gesture, why the awkwardness?

I've noticed some Harry/Hermione tendencies in a few other movies as well, so maybe I'm just more sensitive to it.

Loved it! It was exactly how I expected it to be.  And I felt that it followed the book extremely well.

And I was super happy we decieded to get our tickets at our dine-in movie theater.  You had to be 21+ so no teeny bopper, I got to eat creme brulee and have a coffee drink and was in a large comfy chair, that was assigned seating so no fighting for a seat

The line for the other theatre was insane! I could never do that.

<div>I want one of those movie theaters! I did like the movie though. It was really funny! Yeah, the beginning of the dance was awkward, and I was like "Uhhh, no, what are you doing?" But then they just made it funny, so I was ok with it. Anyone else think that the Harry/Hermione naked in the horcrux scene was surprisingly/unnecessarily risque?</div>

Plus, in the book, Harry was pretty heartbroken after Ron left, too.  In the movie, it felt like he was trying to cheer her up, when in the book, he was just as miserable as she was.

On another note, I really liked what they did with the horcrux scene.  It was so intense.

I loved it myself and thought the movie ended in a perfect spot.  I am not sure if I would have made changes to the movie though.

One thing I did (strangely) wonder about was whether or not the movie casters had photos of the actors parents and siblings to see how they would grow and mature.  As they have grown to be quite handsome and beautiful.
