yay or nay?

So, I've had a cold...pretty much since Thanksgiving.  (to be honest, I was better for about 1-2 days before my sister infected me with another cold after Christmas.)  I personally think I should be better now, and have definitely improved lately (I don't sound like a man anymore.)

Is it even worth going to the doc and being like "fix me"?  Cause I kinda feel like she's just gonna be "um, you're almost better.  chill out."
I guess, to tell you the truth, I've never had much of a desire to grow facial hair. I think I've managed to play quarterback just fine without a mustache. - Peyton

Meh... it's worth it, in my opinion, after being sick for so long.  Your immune system could be weakened by something else, and perhaps she'll prescribe an antibiotic just to help you kick this for good.

Everytime I go to the Dr for something similar, I get the "It's just a virus, nothing we can do. Please pay your copay and have a nice day." It could also be allergies, that's what they tell me too..UGH!

I actually tried to go last Friday, but the doc had no appointments, so I figure a WEEK later, I should be better.  I'm still deciding, but thanks for the input :)

I seriously have kissed the boyfriend like...3 times since Thanksgiving (we're very germ-conscious cause I'm a science nerd, I guess...)  It's pretty ridiculous.

If you've had it since thanksgiving, I wouldn't think it would be a virus.
I had strep for 1 month last year, because i thought the sore throat was due to drainage. At that point I was so bad I had to be on antibiotics for a month to get rid of it. Don't put yourself through more than you have to.
Even if the doctor says its a virus, if she knows you've had it this long she can at least give you a prescription to relieve the symptoms.

Yea, I decided to give in and go :)  I'll be there tomorrow morning around 11 (gotta work for the rest of the day today.  Plus, it's almost impossible to get same day appts for my doctor, haha)

You've been sick for so long, that I would definitely suggest going to the doctors, just to get some kind of medicine to help the recovery. Your immune system probably needs a rest, hun.

And if you're stuck with a nasty cough (which for me can linger for months), they'll give you the good stuff with codeine so you can sleep.

Sorry you've been sick so long, Blue! That sucks. I hope the doc is able to do something to help and that you get better fast!
