Little Problem about Little One

By time our wedding comes around next yr, our little one will be 7 months old. We'd like to involve him/her (of course) in our ceramony but not really sure how to. Any ideas??

Your little one won't be able to walk, but may be active enough to move around gibber/jabber and possibly steal the show in a good way.

Try to time the wedding for when he/she is in their best mood. Hard possibly since you won't know unil he/she is 6 months when a good time is.

Maybe decorate a stroller that has a top that pulls dow so they can 'walk' down the aisle? Have an attendant in front to help pick him/her up if the baby gets fussy?

Have a place for the baby to nap while you have a bite to eat/take pictures.

I don't have kids, so I don't understand why parents *have* to have their children involved. There's nothing wrong with making sure he or she looks adorable and have he or she sit with one of your parents.

The simplest way I've seen a child involved was this past summer at my friend's wedding. Her little guy was 11 months and not walking at the time. She was escorted down the aisle by her mom and dad, and her mom held the little guy. Then he sat with them.

There really isn't any way to involve an infant in a wedding ceremony.  The best thing to do is to dress him/her up and take lots of pictures.

I agree with CMG and retread.  Just have the baby in a cute outfit on granny's or auntie's lap.  Take a ton of pictures with him/her after the ceremony.

You don't want to end up a baby puking while someone is walking down the aisle, or the baby bursting into tears when he/she realizes there are 100-200 eyes staring at him/her... etc.  Toooo many things can go wrong.

It's your wedding - if you want your baby in your wedding then I say GO FOR IT! Who says they can't be involved?

My nephews will barely be a year when my wedding rolls around and they are my ring bearers. Sister is my MOH and sister in law is a BM. They will be carried down the aisle by their mothers and then a friend will watch them during the ceremony. Both sister are 100% on board with this.

Is their a family memeber in the WP that your comfortable having carry him down the aisle? Or maybe when your parents are escorted to their seats they can have him in their arms?

I seen that on one of the bridal shows. Some lady decorated their wagon for their kids but you could use a stroller.

[QUOTE]Have you ever seen a baby suddenly puke like Mt. Vesuvius erupting?  It isn't pretty, and it can happen without warning.

[QUOTE]Ditto CMGr and Retread. The most I would do is maybe have daddy carry him/her in and then hand him/her off to the grandparents. A wedding is strictly between two consenting adults and shouldnt involve children. It's not like one of you will stop vein Baby's parent if you get a divorce.

I love this idea!  How cute to have daddy carrying the baby, that's perfect.
