Seriously?  I get knocked for simple grammar mistakes.  Minor spelling mistakes.  I have been using spell check like everyone has requested.  Trying my best to meet your standards.  Is this some way to poke fun at me.  I know i am not that bad.

Danielle, I've been doing crap like this since WAY before you got here. Get over yourself.

Is my engaugmint chikken cakee post still around? How long ago was that? Like 2 years or some crap? Honestly.

Danielle, your previous random posts with poor grammar are not the first and certainly won't be the last like that. If you need to say I'm being mean and making fun, it's not a personal attack. I am making fun of a sad trend- the degradation of written communication brought on by poor education systems and instant media like texting and chatting that have trained young generations not to think about any sort of grammar or spelling.

It's not you, it's the whole world. And I would have made posts like this at some point no matter what. It my way of saying "Isn't the world freaking CRAZY right now? If you can't beat 'em, join 'em."

I do agree the younger generations have slipped.  I know that i am not as bad as you made it seem.  However i you do not know me.  Do not know how i was brought up.  Also do not know the education i have received.  I do know though that both of the post with spelling mistakes were pegged towards me.  I have gladly taken the time like all of you have asked me to to proof read and check my spelling.  Maybe if you have taken 5 min to read my recent post you could see that.

Jeana- You need to go look up your engagement chicken post, you have us locked out. It's one of the funniest things I've read in a long time.

Danielle- I know you are having a rough time right now, but you would crack up if you saw this post too. I agree that it's gone too far, but Jeana gets a pass b\c these are her way of braking up the crazy and just having some fun.

PS- Anytime anyone spells food as fud, I crack up.

I'm done trying to defend myself.  I have clearly got the point.  Everyone is still stating all the same things to me.  I have taken the time to spell check,  I have taken time to realise where i wasn't using punctuation.  I know English in school was always my weak point.  Everyone here has just made me feel extremely stupid.  I never though i was extremely smart, but never thought i was poor educated either.

I can't find the engagement chicken one, but I did find this gem from shortly after Jeana got married back in July.  *Almost* as good.

    http://forums.theknot.com/Sites/theknot/Pages/Main.aspx/special-topic-wedding-boards_not-engaged-yet_wtfbbq-omg-lets-this?plckFindPostKey=Cat:Special Topic Wedding BoardsForum:136Discussion:1269bf31-9a57-489f-92a5-bc1b476fe201Post:6f3595ca-ade4-4a31-9338-095304e54664

Danielle, I think at this point it's best to just let sleeping dogs lie and drop the entire subject, then come back in a few days joining into the conversations here and post again keeping in mind all the punctuation and spelling stuff.  The more you defend yourself, the longer it'll take for people to forget about it and hush and move on.  You're welcome to post here, and I think you have a general idea of how things work now, so I would encourage you to please continue to join in, but I'd give it a few days to cool off.  With how things go around here, if you just let it go, there will be something new attracting everyone's attention by the end of the week.

Oh, and in case you hadn't seen it, you don't have to take tons of time spell-checking by re-reading everything.  This forum actually has a spellcheck button (the "check" with the ABC above it that's below the reply box) so you can save time.  Your spelling has greatly improved since you started paying attention, but a few things are still off, and this feature of The Knot may be helpful to you in catching the small things so that people will get off your back.  Laughing

Acrosthec  Thank you.  I will not be on for most of the week.  I have an entire house to clean.  Bryland's party is Saturday,  I'm very excited to see all of our family and friends to celebrate.

I hope your son has a wonderful birthday and party.  We went to our goddaughter's party yesterday (she just turned 2) and it was fabulous.

One idea that they did for our goddaughter's party last year (first birthday) that I thought was really neat, was that they had a regular cake for everyone else and a small "smash-cake" for her.  If you have time/money --don't know if you're baking the cake yourself or not-- I'd highly recommend it.  She had SO MUCH FUN with it, and we got some great pictures.

Smash cake = cupcake with TONS of icing built up all around it, even on the plate, to make it look like a little cake.

We are having a toy story party for him.  My friend from AZ is flying in.  Hunters birthday is 9 days after Bryland's. I ordered to small cakes for both of them to smash into.  Thank you for the input.  I'm very excited to see what he does.

Sunday is cool beans with me, I'll be there.

Danielle, I hope you go read the post Acro found that I made MONTHS ago. As you can see, I'm not targeting YOU. I'm making fun of a trend that is very widespread. It's called satire. I happen to have a sarcastic, satirical sense of humor about a lot of things.

For instance, I love to get my news from Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. I think it's just about the BEST way to catch up on current events.

I am NOT all of a sudden making fun of you. If you were to pinpoint a post that was in response to your spelling, you should check out my "yrubslip" post. But still, I'd say it was more "inspired" by your Naes story than actually directed at you.

Anyway, if you want to play the victim, I can't really control that. You're free to do what you want and post as often as you like. But I will never, EVER stop making satirical posts about leet speek and grammar abuse. As I said (and the proof is in Acro's link), I've been making threads like this for a LONG time.

And of course your grammar and spelling isn't as bad as the posts in this thread. Because that is NOT THE POINT OF THE THREAD.

You're taking something personally that is just a lighthearted jab at the general public. But, as I said. You can do that. It's cool beans. No skin off my nose.

You know what else I just realized? In that other thread, I was making fun of Cate's boyfriend. Because we'd had some drama involving him posting ridiculous crap on this board. What did I do (after getting ticked off?). I made fun of the situation.

Ta-da. Now you know everything about me.

Also, note that Cate put on her big girl panties and didn't cry about the joke. Or.... she didn't see it. Either way, she didn't run around saying "OMG U R MAKKING FUN OFF MEEEEEE!!!! JEANA U R SO MEEEN!"

Of course, no one really types like that. But isn't it funny to pretend Cate would say that? Innocent

I posted in my other post about my party as well. I went to log back in and was not allowed to so i made a new account.  I understand and i have let it go.  I have enjoyed the suggestions for Bryland party and appreciate them.

I'm happy that my randomness post about naes could inspire your creativity.

Danielle, thanks for posting such a calm response. I appreciate you reading my posts and understanding what I am trying to say.

I honestly hope you feel better about the whole thing. As I said, I try to lighten dramatic situations by making fun of the whole thing and getting people to laugh instead of being angry. It generally works pretty well. Folks laugh a little, and then they move on.

It really helps that you seem to be moving on, too.

I'm fine.  I'm cleaning for Bryland's Birthday. Cleaning makes my stress go away.  I just want everyone else to move on as well.  I have taken what everyone has said into consideration and trying to do a better job, that's all i can do.
