Booked it! Edited to include pictures

Hahaha, did any of you do Book It through Pizza Hut when you were little? Where you read books, and for every so many books you earned a personal pan pizza. I thought I was the coolest person alive when I earned my personal pan pizza each month. Hahaha, sorry, my subject title brought back that memory. (But they should totally do Book It for adults, just because I'm 30 doesn't mean I don't deserve free pizza for reading)...

Anyways... FI and I have offically booked our church and reception venue! We'll get married at a little (ok, it's actually very big) church in Medina and then have our reception at the Medina Country Club.

Pictures were pulled from the club's website.

The Medina Country Club

The Ballroom

The front entrance

The church, I can't find any good pictures of.

Congrats on your venue!  Yeah I remember that program with Pizza Hut.  Because my older sister or my mom would take me to the Pizza HUt down the street to redeem my certificate.  I was so excited!  Wow the things that made me happy when I was little.

I don't remember that, but I wish I could get my free 1 hour of reading at B&N on my Nook...at home :)  I'm too lazy to go to the bookstore, but I'd def. use it if the bookstore was CLOSER :)

This. :) I remember something through my elementary school called Book It, but Pizza Hut wasn't involved, that I know of. Methinks I got screwed out of my free pizzas...

Congrats on booking your venue, Ember!

I LOVES BOOK IT! I had the pin with all of my stars on it for my books. I think the only reason I read was for the pizza.

    Also, yay on book(ing) it!

I remember it, but I think it might have been Straw Hat instead of Pizza Hut when I was a kid. Whatever it was, I never got any pizza out of it.

Thanks. I think it was meant to be. We went out looking for churches in the area. We were looking for one church, and our GPS actually led us to this church instead. We pulled in and the minister was walking out of the building. He took us on a tour and gave us information. We didn't realize it was the wrong church until after we left.

</div><div>THIS! I always had like 8 pizza vouchers stuck between the pages of my bible. (the only time we went to pizza hut was after church sometimes) My dad hated "book it" because you could only use one voucher at a time, and if i got a personal pizza, then my brother would want one too, and my dad would complain that for the price of the non-free personal pizza, you could almost pay for a medium, which was so much more pizza. </div>

They cancelled Book it at my school because eventually groups got smart and realized if each person in a friend group, of 5 or so, read a book we could take the test and then tell the others about our books/test. Then voila! Pizza! I wonder how they work it now with the internet and sparknotes/cliffnotes/ect?
