Pre Vow Groom search - CHEATER!

Hi my name is Lisa and I wanted to give some info. to all the ladies out there who have not tied the knot yet. I was recently engaged but my friend sent me a link to a site called Cheaterville.com where people can post info. on past relationships specifically post information on the net on people who have cheated in committed relationships. 

It turns out my fiance was previously married (new news to me) and, the person who posted was an x-girlfriend who he physically hit and cheated on - multiple times. 

I confronted this man and he admitted that all this info. was true and the wedding has now been called off. 

I'd recommend this site for any ladies who have not recited their vows and for those who have.

    wow... I'm sorry OP. That would suck.

    Everyone else, I feel although it shows you dont really trust your SO if you feel the need to go check if he cheated on you on a site....

    I voted spam...if I don't know who you are and you want me to go to a (really dumb) website, you're probably spam.  That's my rule at least.

    I'm uncertain of what it means if you feel the need to check up on your guy on a website where women list cheaters.

    However, I'm really sorry you went through that, Lisa. That had to be really tough.

    OP, if you are real, I'm so sorry for what you went through.

    But if you're spam, I do not like you.

    This kind of seems like spam to me. It reads exactly like a testimonial for the website. I think it's just here to get people to go to the site. Note: it's kind of working. I heard about this site a long time ago and I'm kind of curious.

    To be clear: it's not because I need to check up on BF. I trust him completely.

    Unfortunately this happened to me, but I recently started dating a great guy I've known from in and around my profession. Things are going well as of now, so keep your fingers crossed.

    PS..... although someone mentioned you should not have to check to see if someone has a past I feel the urge to check things out - especially in a newer relationship.

    That's what I was thinking too, Marley. Plus, it does seem strange to just waltz on to a board, say hi and rant about a website.

    <div>Yup.  Some guy tried suing AshleyMadison.com and It got dismissed.  The people/companies who host websites aren't responsible for 3rd party posts.</div>

    Everyone here is sorry you had to go through what you did.  Really.  I wouldn't wish that on anyone.  We just don't have any interest in the website. 

    And when someone comes here and the first thing they do is create a post linking to a website, we automatically assume it is spam.  And it usually is.

    If you like the community here, you are welcome to stick around and tell us about your current relationship.  Why don't you start a new thread and tell us about that wonderful guy?
