Update from yesterday

So, I mentioned the ring box after dinner. He laughed and said he remembered the box was sitting out at lunchtime. He figured he'd come home and I'd be wearing it. So, he showed me the ring (which it is gorgeous and the one I picked out). Then he shut the box and put it back on the table and we didn't talk anymore about it. So, I woke up today (after he left for work) and he left the ring box open and empty on the kitchen table. But, I don't mind seeing an empty ring box. So, now I'll patiently wait for him to give it to me

I was wondering about you and the box. Do you think he's carrying it with him or that he hid the ring?

I imagine he hid it somewhere in the apartment. I can't see him risking taking it to work with him.

I told him last night that he was torturing me. He just laughed and said he would give it to me when the timing was right. I'm assuming it'll come with either Christmas or New Years. When we started ring shopping he said he'd wait and give it to me the at the rehersal dinner, the night before the wedding. That would be torture.

Glad to hear that it worked itself out.  FYI get that ring insured, its home now and hiding somewhere around there.  I would be on the safe side and look into ring insurance.  I had my ring insured the day after it come home with my FI and that was weeks before he ever proposed.

Yeah, I called the insurance agent today. We are going to take it in tomorrow for an appraisal. There is already a jewelry clause in my home insurance, so it technically is covered right now.

Update: Talked to K at lunch and he TOOK THE RING WITH HIM! Let's say I might have flipped out on him that he took an uninsured ring out of the apartment!! I immediately called the insurance agent.
